@domubpkm There is no screen keyboard available when using Morph or weather app for instance.

@Lakotaubp Here's the bugreport. The missing OSK and the lack of adb is keeping me away from playing around with the current state.

            Hi @domubpkm
This post is more intended for developers to help them test things out and tackle the remaining issues.
Please refrain from asking about daily driving it. The goal is to gather contributions not slow devs progresses with requests.

I have to step back and say:

wow i can not believe this has come this far @mariogrip
              Congratulations
It seems a long time since this first started..Well done.

Second. These updates are so helpful. Stops the questions but still yet leads them.

Third. What do you need from US...the community first?

I got my Nexus 4 then 5 then FP2 then one plus cooking on #UBUNTU via @ubports and have run it on Op3T Op6t OP5T Pinephone/Pro Pine Tab and Pinebook Pro and my favourite OnePlus One.

@Lakotaubp Today I installed 24.04 on my Pixel 3a. I unticked both check-boxes and went for it (so no wipe, and no install via boot-loader). So far a great experience. Most apps work (only SturmReader doesn't, so far) and the OSK shows up everywhere it is expected to, except in Morph.

So I would say it is possible to upgrade in place.

EDIT: I also installed it on my JingPad following the same procedure. With the same positive results.

@arubislander How odd. Will try again without any boxes ticked.

@uxes OSK still seems not to work (e.g. morph and messages).
@mariogrip Is it intended to install updates only when connected to the power supply? Before Noble it was always possible to install OTA's without beeing connected to AC. Maybe there can be a hint that says it's safer being connected to AC, but let's you install the update even without being connected.

@kristatos That the fix was merged does not necessarily mean it has already made it into the latest build. Best to wait for a few releases, or an official announcement before reporting it as still not working.

@arubislander The merge was done some hours before the actual build, so I thought, it's already included. Let's see what the next days will bring πŸ˜‰

@Lakotaubp ADB works on my Pixel 3a too, You just have to make sure Developer Mode is toggled on. You might need to toggle it off then on again to get it to show up (no need to reboot in between).

is it also some other device's issue that not every release can be installed? todays build seems to be also too big

@uxes This could be an issue on devices with a smaller recovery partition, yes.

Installer also fails, at least on OP5. Only boots back to recovery.
