Volla X23 Upgrade Problems
-
Hello Forum,
I have a volla a x23 mobile phone and I am on the last release canidat 23 on focal 20.04.Currently, I have two problems, both have to do with software updates/upgrades.
1.) There are two app upgrades but every installation try runs in an error
The error message is: ProcessError: 0 ErrorInProcess
I have repeated it many times.(See attached screenshot.)
2.) I try to switch to the os version stable ota-10 every day, but this has not been offered to me yet.
It has been 17 days since the start of publication.
Isn't this version for my mobile phone?I have looked at the shell with df -h if it is a problem of missing memory, but all partitions seem ok.
Thank you for your help.
Greetings Charly -

Is there no one who has an idea?

OTA-10 isn't released yet. It seems that you are still on OTA-8 so you can upgrade to OTA-9, maybe the errors are gone then. If not, I would try to reinstall the OS via installer.

Hello,
Thanks for the ideas, I have changed back to ota-9, unfortunately, the installation problems remained.
OTA-10 was officially released on August 21. However, no download has been offered for my volla x23 mobile phone.
Unfortunately, I am not yet any further. I would be rejecting a new installation now. In a few weeks the big change to Noble is coming up.

As suggested, I have all the apps reinstalled. This has worked for almost all apps except for three (see screenshot)

Does someone have OTA-10 on the Volla-X23?
-
@Charly 20.04 OTA-10 has not yet been released, there's only the RC image still.

Hi Charly,
After searching the internet, I would say that the error message (the same for all apps) means that something is still running/working in the processor, so it is not possible to update them.
At the risk of you having already tried the following:
The device should then be switched off and, thanks to Fairphone, the battery removed.
Wait 20 seconds, insert the battery, start the phone, and try the update again.Greetings
