What are the pros and cons between a device relying on an old version of Halium and another device relying on a more recent version of Halium ?

I would like to ask that you do a quick announcement for the 'Community Awards'.
Things have developed quite well with a lot of input from other community members.
This year we will have only two categories:- Community favourite app
- Community favourite developer
The prize for each category:
- a large pizza (details TBD).
- a webpage mentioning your award and why your won (details TBD).
