I can't do everything at once.

The app is progressing at a very nice pace, as a user I cannot possibly complain. Your effort is appreciated!

        Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

@pparent have you experimented with integrating native notifications similar to WhatsWeb?

I will, but I can't do everything at once.

This will require to cross-compile a patched version of libnotify to send notification to Lomiri postal service instead of standard freedesktop.org notifications. This is pretty much of a hack, but it should work since signal-desktop uses libnotify.

Please be patient, the client will improve progressively.

Not saying it's bad. In fact, the work is great. Also the functional keyboard is amazing. Just wondering if there was a roadmap. 🙂

            @projectmoon

There is no roadmap for two reasons:

-First because what I'm doing here is experimental and it's impossible to predict for sure how hard will be something, or event if it will be possible at all, before it's done.

-Second because I'm not payed for this, so I do it depending on my time and desire and motivation and without pressure.

All that I do here is opensource and reproductible. As I said before anyone is more than welcome to jump into the development of this project to make it go faster or in a more predictable way, or implement a specific feature they want.

                https://github.com/pparent76/SignalUT/blob/main/patches/maliit-inputcontext-gtk/client-imcontext-gtk.c.patch

Some hacks found after a lot of debuging, investigation, trial and error, and perseverance!

I've realized that simulating a keypress from an external keyboard in the window will unlock the enter and back button

                  -Allow downloading files with contenthub

Now the microphone is enabled, if some people can test calls, it would be nice to know the level of usability, the presence or not of echo, and the audio quality! 😉

@pparent I am very happy to have the voicemail option now, because I prefer them instead of typing.

The recording in terms of presence, echo, and the audio quality is very good.

@pparent Maybe in the near future the Signal Icon (it is an X in this case) will be function on a xaomi pocco x3 nfc.

I the future yes, in yes near future no. It will not happen before the system upgrades to Mir.2.x and we can switch to Wayland which might not be, before another 6 month (or more). It depends on the Ubuntu Touch roadmap. Until then, there is nothing that I can do on my side. In the mean time you can pin the icon while exporting to content-hub.

I'm not sure to understand, can you explain more?
