@peat_psuwit I managed to install on my sony xperia x - awesome!!! Any special thing to test?
There is no sound at all. In terminal the command alsamixer gives an error: cannot load mixer controls: no such device.

        on Sony xperia X :
whats newly works in 24.04 :
whats not work now : sound
whats already not works : fingerprint, usb connection sharing.
whats already works : accelerometre, compass, rotation, orientation, gps, ambiante light, light (thanks to sensor status app), bluetooth, wifi, call, mobile data, sms, front camera, external storage, video, file tranfert, connectivity with computer, wifi acces point, sceen rotation.
can't confirme : principal camera (broken on my phone) fm radio (no app existing), wireless monitor, nfc, volte

it happens that the device made two boots (blocking on sony windows during 1-2 mn and reboot automaticaly)

Thank both of you for reporting. I've asked the port maintainer (Alfred) to have a further look at this. As sound and voice call is a relatively important thing, if we're unable to solve this by this release we'll continue to withhold Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.2 from Xperia X in the stable channel.

        Hello.
No issues with usage, but my impression is that the battery drains faster than with the previous version.
Generally, I can go four days without any issues, but currently, in two days, I've gone from 100% to 17%.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro (as you know).
How can I objectively assess this?

You could try switching back to stable channel in System Settings and see if it improves the situation. That said, looking at the list of changes landing in the image, I don't see anything that could affect battery life, so it's possible this is port-specific too.

        Hi
I am using the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 in dual sim mode.
        For 24.04-1.2 RC

        Fix and works:

        • Switching mobile data SIM

        Not working and broken:

        • Reconnect to mobile data after phone call longer than 3 minutes.
        • VoLTE
        • Receiving SMS when mobile data is turned on and the modem is in a mode other than 2G. (If mobile data is turned off and the SIM card is switched to 2G mode, SMS receiving works normally.)

Do they happen recently with this update?

No. It's a problem on the stable channel 24.04 too. But on 20.04 everything is fine. Except VoLTE which also doesn't work on 20.04.

Interestingly, these problems do not occur when using only one SIM card. Although I have not tested this long-term, I only removed the second SIM card for about two hours.

Not yet returned to 24.04-2.x but without any change of usage, this is a bit more meaningful.d83a1ea7-b89b-42c8-8ff0-99c744f262e7-screenshot20260210_052307486.png /home/jll/TΓ©lΓ©chargements/1/screenshot20260210_052307486.png

This applies for my Miatoll device (Redmi Note 9 Pro):

              • Sometimes it takes minutes (sometimes up to 10min) for the mobile to re-connect the mobile data again after a phone call. [New πŸ› after migration to 24.04]
              • The keyboard sometimes still crashes when typing quickly. [New πŸ› after migration to 24.04]
              • Ringing sound gets "almost muted" (not hearable when receiving a call) after some time (usually around a week and several received calls) [This πŸ› was always there]
              • Camera app basically never initiates correctly on first time use after reboot [This πŸ› was always there]
              • Audio apps (all of them, i.e. sound Recording app) stop working/start freezing after the first phone call (sound subsystem config is messed-up?) [This πŸ› was always there]

I am still in RC and the discharge issue has disappeared, for the moment.

I just noticed some strange behaviour on my phone, which is still on RC, that I had never seen before.
At 11:57 a.m., my phone rang, indicating that the call was from my wife, with her personalised ringtone.
My wife's phone was sitting on the kitchen table. She did not call.
Her contact appears in the list of missed calls.
In my received text messages, I have a message saying that the number xxxxxxx called me without leaving a message. It was not my wife's number (nor was it in my contact list, for that matter).
Perhaps it was an accidental glitch...
Exphone app installed. This app has recognized my wife's contact too.

                      Hello

I don't think so. I did a quick test - calling from 2 different numbers, one with personalised ringtones and the other not registered in the contacts, heard only the same ringtone for both calls, so I can repro. I did not mention it myself as a regression because I did not even know that it was possible to play a personalised ringtone πŸ™‚ so I can't vouch that it worked correctly before.

It was not only the ringtone, the contact shown in the phone call history is my wife's contact too...
                        Never saw this.
                        Same in exPhone history.
It was the last call received previously (yesterday evening)

This I can't repro, I get the 'unknown' (from the contact list) calling number in the call list.

I have a Bluetooth problem on this RC. It does not see most of my Pebbles and can't connect to them. I'm now back on Stable and my Pebble Time connects just fine.

This is weird, as there are no changes related to Bluetooth merged in this release. Could you please collect logs using the following command over ADB or SSH, then pull the file over USB?

sudo journalctl --boot --grep 'blue' >Downloads/journalctl.log

                                          about Sony Xperia X:

Well, I can confirm that the sound works through the speaker. πŸ‘

Bluetooth connects, but there is no sound in the headphones. πŸ‘Ž

There's always a first time for everything (and a last time, for that matter).
If you connect your phone to your PC through USB (for example, the one you used to install Ubuntu Touch) and open a terminal, you can run the command
                                              adb shell
This will open a remote connection to your phone.
In this connection, you can run the command
sudo journalctl --boot --grep 'blue' >Downloads/journalctl.log
Than you can type exit to return to your local terminal and run
                                              adb pull /home/phablet/Downloads/journalctl.log ~/journalctl.log
This will get the phone's file in your home folder.
