        🙂 Hi @dtarrant.

I'm guessing that you've highlighted the text, gone into the menu, put the complete URL - http://www.etc. - into the space provided, and pressed the green button. You should get the tell-tale blue text, underlined. As far as I know, that is the extent of the link function: i.e. if you then open the document up in a web browser, it will act as a link to the website you've given. I don't think there's the facility for pressing the link in uWriter, and it opening up the browser app, and following your URL - sorry.

(I hope I'm wrong, because that would be a really cool feature.)

@dtarrant HI, just quickly tried myself. Can insert link to text (text goes blue and underlined) but it wouldn't work. Also just copied in directly a URL same result no working link. Will try again tomorrow as out of time now.
If you scroll down to the bottom of thetutorial theres this link

You could also try asking there. It may be quicker.

Hehe! Well there's a first time for everything, @lakotaubp!! It would be a neat feature to have the link open up the browser - how do you do a feature request...?

Edit: I followed the link you gave, and put a request in... See what happens. I know Costales is a wizz at coding!

@3arn0wl Yes, that was exactly my experience. Inserted a blue underlined link that didn't do anything.

@dtarrant Well it ought to work, if you open the document up in a browser. As I say, I've made a feature request, so perhaps in the future, a link will open a browser and do all the work for us! 😉

@lakotaubp The telegram app let's you paste a url into a message. When the recipient clicks the link, the browser immediately fires up and displays the designated page. I've used this feature several times and it's very useful. Try it for yourself. Anyhow, thanks everyone for all your input.

@dtarrant @lakotuabp I wanted to let you know: I've just had word back from the app developer. He says that a right click of the mouse should effect the opening of a window. However, he's going to "take a look" and see if he can make pressing the link in the app do the same thing. 😄

@dtarrant @Lakotaubp In case you haven't seen it yet, the wonderful Costales has updated uWriter to include our feature suggestion regarding following links. Update your app and enjoy! 🙂

                                  Thanks Costales.

I'm sure he will, @advocatux - this news was really hot-off-the-press. He wanted me to test it, but I couldn't get the .click to work when he sent it to me. So he put it in the open store.
