Bluetooth on the Quintus is still problematic as far as connecting to a laptop is concerned. The behaviour is still the same as the one described here: Noble bluetooth issues.

Daily driver: Google Pixel 3a (20.04 OTA-11/stable) [was: Nokia N900 (Maemo) from 2009].
      Volla Quintus (24.04-2.0 beta/RC) with 2 SIMs
      Xiaomi Mi A2 (16.04 OTA-25/stable) initially with 2 SIMs

Could you give a link for known and for reporting issues on this RC please ?

This issue board shows issues known to affect Ubuntu Touch 24.04-2.0:

        https://gitlab.com/groups/ubports/development/-/boards/9687679

Although, we have to admit that not all issues are recorded here; we have been pretty lousy regarding to issue tracking. We hope to improve this in the future.

I have seen already another post about things being messed up in landscape and staying messed up when back to portrait - something I definitely don't see on my FP5, where the landscape mode is not perfect but when switching back to portrait all is well.

I think I see the difference now: your phone has no notch for the back camera. It's probably the root cause. The MR has been tested for a phone like the FP5, not like your phone.

The problem with notch avoidance being broken after rotations is a known issue and will be fixed in the next Beta/RC.

Non related to this: should a phone work in a car using Bluetooth? It see it connects as a headset, so I can talk/hear. But I does not present a phone or contacts to the car?

The Bluetooth integration with the phone/contacts system is indeed a known issue. We're still working on it, but there are a few moving parts related to this which makes implementing this a bit complicated.

        X00TD works fine.

        $ df -h /dev/mmcblk0p13
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
        /dev/disk/by-partlabel/system 3.9G 3.4G 524M 87% /

Thank you for your report. X00TD (Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1) will receive the next Beta/RC.

I can also confirm that the RTC issue is still present on the Quintus. Just created the following issue about it: [Bug] Volla Quintus: RTC problem: correct time/date not preserved across power cycles.

Not sure if already reported issue, but.

After taking the screenshot, the screenshot editor is shown, where I can edit or share the image. However, this window is higher (like z-index) than the volume-control popup, and I assume itโ€™s the same for notifications too. So when I change the volume while Iโ€™m on this screenshot editor screen, I canโ€™t see the current volume status.

Well, with so much to do and so few time and people, not everything can be perfect ๐Ÿ˜‰

I update my sony Xperia X with ubuntu touch 24.04-2.
But I have a problem with the "bookmarks app". They no longer works.
What I see : a blue loading bar ,then a black screen (or white if i m not in dark mod).
I found it with blablacar, but after some tests, it seems that include all " bookmarks app"

I have also a display problem with morph web browser :
nothing is displayed online, but parameters are usable.
Others browsers works normaly (merezhyvo & ufirefox)

That particular problem is fixed by disabling the Timekeeper service, useless on non-Qualcomm devices. Kudos to @gpatel-fr for the suggestion.

Do anyone else have the problem with the "Boorkmark" apps problem? ( With apps based on webapp-container ). If confirmed it seems to me an important problem.

What about apps created manually with Webber?

Update 30 June 2026: we've decided to postpone the release of Ubuntu Touch 24.04-2.0 by 1 more week due to a number of important fixes missing their deadline. The new release date is set to be 20 July 2026.

So, instead of a Release Candidate image, today we've published 24.04-2.0 Beta 2 which contains a number of improvements and fixes since the last Beta.

We hope to be able to have a Release Candidate image next week.

                        Notable changes

                        • Following devices can now receive Ubuntu Touch 24.04-2.0 Beta 2:
                          • Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1
                          • JingPad A1
                          • OnePlus Nord N10 5G
                          • OnePlus Nord N100
                          • Xiaomi Redmi 9 and 9 Prime
                          • Xiaomi Redmi Note 9
                        • Additional devices receive notch position configurations, including all Volla devices and a few Xiaomi devices.
                        • Fixed the problem where the top panel gets confused about whether it has to avoid notches or not when the screen is rotated using the floating rotate button.
                        • Improved support for legacy (X11-based) applications significantly by backporting changes from Mir 2.
                        • Widevine installer is now fully functional. If you're dependent on DRM-protected contents, Morph Browser could be used to watch such contents.
                        • Morph Browser can now get access to location.
                        • Screenshot editor no longer obscures notifications.

                        Notable known issues

                        • While Widevine could be installed, some sites (e.g. Netflix) might impose further restrictions on what browser it supports.
                        • Video recording and media playback in most applications (except browsers) might be broken due to some cache not clearing up. As a workaround, the following command could be run to remove such cache:
                        rm -v ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0/registry.*

Followed by a reboot. A fix is being developed. (lomiri-camera-app#221).

                        • Morph Browser may show black screen after it's switched to background and back. Scrolling will allow webpage to display again. (qt6-webengine#2)
                        • Some keyboard layouts are displayed incorrectly by overflowing to the left and right edges of the screen. (lomiri-keyboard#214)
                        • Morph Browser may show black screen after it's switched to background and back. Scrolling will allow webpage to display again. (qt6-webengine#2)
                        • Hardware video decoding in the updated Morph Browser is not working. Video playback still work, but will be done in software, increasing power usage (qt6-webengine#1).
                        • Morph Browser's new tab page is not fully functional. In particular, it doesn't show bookmarked sites correctly (morph-browser#624)
                        • Notch avoidance does not work yet on landscape mode.
                        • We're still working on issue with mouse position on built-in screen affecting the trackpad on Volla Tablet's keyboard cover. As such, Volla Tablet will not receive 24.04-2.0 Beta at this time.
