@bart it was yes! At the time (over a month ago) I was told there was a packaging issue, which I believe is now fixed... but I haven't tried it yet.

@bart I am just old. I grew up navigating through cities with paper maps (and the nightmarish folding and unfolding), finding my position by looking up streetnames and their map quadrants. The first phone that could have done some navigation for me was the T-Mobile G1 with Google Maps - I was 23 when I got it - just having a point telling me where I was on the map was so exciting!Till today I rarely look for a route, I just mark or make a mental note of the point I am going to, and that's enough - and thus, Organic Maps/CoMaps in their current state on #LinuxMobile get the job done for me. They have an appealing representation of streets, building, trees, and such - and that matters a lot to make a map useful to me.

Likely due to recent RAM and flash price increases, the #MechaComet base model only ships with 2GB RAM, and going up to 8GB is only allowed when going with the faster i.MX 95 chip

So I finally understand why 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 doesn't work with the #Librem5's big cam.

As I was working my upcoming #FOSDEM talk "The Linux Phone App Ecosystem" (https://fosdem.org/2026/schedule/event/VH3GYN-linux-phone-app-ecosystem-2026/) I thought: Maybe I should ask my followers..

@Blort It may, but ... you know, you can just close Thunderbird (and a OnePlus 6 has 8GB Ram). Why bother with email notifications when you are too busy to read/answer them most of time anyway?
