      Build Prerequisites:
Qt6 development packages, nasm, additional build tools, and a C++23 capable compiler like g++-13 or clang-17 are required.

@saveurlinux Qt 6 is a problem as we are still at Qt 5.12

May the source be with you

          Hi @saveurlinux

They plan a first alpha release in 2026.
So it's not for today. But if they want to support Ubuntu Touch, they are welcome to contact us for help integrating it.
There are many trials to create an alternative to Chrome and all are welcome to make a version for Ubuntu Touch.

UBports sadly does not have the resources to work on something else.

We have efforts made to bring Webkit to Ubuntu Touch as well as work done with Firefox and the upgrade of Morph to Qt6. 3 projects and probably only 3 persons doing work.
And they also contribute to porting, apps and the OS.

@AppLee great news about bring support for webkit. I prefer a browser that uses webkit engine.

@saveurlinux Why do you think is a better option?
And, could it integrate the download manager? Morph should recover that feature but...

                Hi @saveurlinux,

The Ladybird browser does not appear to be fully developed yet.

The Morph browser, on the other hand, is complete, but we do not yet have enough programmers to integrate the necessary operating components. šŸ¤“

Therefore, I believe there is a lack of available expertise, i.e., a sufficient number of workers. šŸ˜‰
