@vverve That would be really nice to have options to roll back if there was a hiccup till fixed thats for sure seems like it would be easy enought to do. like a system restore style thing mint comes with something preinstalled called timeshift that would be a really cool software if it could be used in touch.

@lakotaubp or anyone elses in here has the answer once a stable version is availalble of 24.04 can you just update to the stable channel without loosing data? only reason I ask is im hesitant to update now the keyboard issue is fixed and is running good enought for me there might be bugs somewhere if I findsomething ill post but im happy now LOL

@jam1388 Yes you just need to make sure the wipe user data is not ticked and your fine. Also if you are already on UT( which you are) no need to resize partitions it use bootstrap. This applies to any reflash if you can't down grade from system settings, updates, channels.
I don't have your device but on my FP 5 5g and volte work on 24.04-2.x so it should be the same with yours 2.x daily is just the start of the process if moving to the next version.
This issue took out my FP4 as well and that works just as well on24.04-1.x though I know at times it's fun to play on the outer edge where the dragons live : )Edit
Meant 24.04-1.x daily VoLTE works on. Is there no 1.x for the OP n10 -
@Lakotaubp I understand what your talking about in the dragon playground thats for sure! But its the only way I can have out going calls in coming always worked I just wished the guys (Developers) could somehow add what they did to VOLTE in 24 to the stable version or I wouldnt be in the dragons den persay LOL
whatever though its running super right now in dragon land so I may just leae it till stable with volte support comes out I volte on the dragons den like I said there must be more involved to ad the fix to volte here to there I guess.Anyway thanks for chiming in on that I knew the dont wipe data cashe part but didnt know if you could just update to a stable release so thanks for that. As of now its running pretty good cant tell your in the dragons den yet there may be a bug somehwere yet to find I have added backdrop cusomized desktop got it looking really nice for the stable version thats for sure! -

To my knowledge one+n10 24.04-1.x does no volte yet ,
and , the bloody fun is that bleeding ''dragon'' edge 2.x ,volte OK ,is not having more regressions issues with updates then daily 1.x !!?!
if not less ... until now.
Fear no spitting fuel/blood flying beast...i guess there will be more gliches untill volte+++ get to noble stable . -
@vverve LOL I do wish they could add whatver they did for my 5g to work to the stable version of24.04.1.x stable must be a different kernel that cant support it because if they could that be cool but I have played it cool they fixed the keyboard issue I let the updates stack up in my updates section in settings right now I have a downloaded 82 not even going to press install till 83 LOL so I can bounce back if something breaks right now im ok with the operation of the phone for what it is hopefully they can get a stable version of this soon because it does run pretty decent

I plan to buy a Oneplus Nord N10 based on your statement that VoLTE is usable in USA (on AT&T).
I would want to try it on T-Mobile.
Please let me know if you are aware of any problems with that plan.
I recently bought a Pixel 3A XL, installed latest U Touch on developer channel, and then spent many hours reading every word I could find (on UBports forum and elsewhere) as to whether VoLTE might ever have a chance.
As of 2025 Dec 21, it seems the answer is 'NOT Likely'.
I looked up prices on the other phone models that are officially supporting VoLTE, but they are not in my price range (main phone is Pixel 4XL running LOS23 unofficial, so any alternatives need to be approximately equal or better than that).
My primary reason for cell phone is 1) calls, 2) TXT, 3) occasional browser searches, 4) occasional pictures. Not much else. so the VoLTE is critical.
SO, I plan to contact Ebay seller to return the Pixel 3A XL (30 day return window closing fast), then buy the One+ Nord N10 (unlocked).
Any suggestions ? -
@oldbutndy You asked the wrong guy , i am not in USA , do live near it . But volte does ok on oneplus n10 on 24.04-2.x, yes buy an unlocked one , if t-mobile. I am a not a dev ,simple user .

Also, I am often in rural area, and mostly use WiFi calling (which, from what I understand, shares code with VoLTE).
Have you tried WiFi calling ?
Any other info or suggestions, before I try to return recent Pixel 3A XL and buy a Nord N10 ? -
@undrwater Which exact model of Nord N10 do you have ?
Was it already Factory / Bootloader unlocked, or did you have to go through the Oneplus/T-Mobile bootloader unlock process ? [The Pixel 3A XL I recently bought to install UT on was factory unlocked, and easy install (had to change A12 back to A9, but G Chrome based tool worked very well)].
Also, one of the pages I found lists international version & another in one group, but a separate group - labelled - 'Unsupported' for Nord N10 T-Mobile and N100 Metro-T-Mobile - with slightly different original versions of firmware listed for recovery to OEM.
Searching Ebay for BE2026 (North American Factory Unlocked) or BE2029 (international) produced zero results. Searching for 'Factory Unlocked' produced inconsistent results, wherein they repeated 'Carrier Unlocked' next to both Unlock Status, and Carrier Status. Only one listing said 'Factory Unlocked' IN the listing (was highest $$).
I would appreciate any suggestions from anyone who has had success with this. -
@oldbutndy I don't totally understand all the N10 versions (and I really tried at one point!) but Ruben, the porter/maintainer, has said that the T-Mobile / Metro versions should work, despite what the device page says. You'll find at least one other post in the N10 section of the forum that shows someone using an N10 Metro, in USA, who now has VoLTE.
I think no one wants to guaratee it, as it's not what the porter uses, but it sounds like it'll work.I think Factory Unlocked generally just means it was never locked to a carrier, but doesn't mean bootloader is unlocked.
I found downgrading android, after unlocking the bootloader, to be a pain on the N10, but I'm pretty novice at that sorta stuff, and I got it done in the end.
Seek instructions, get the MSM tool, understand EDL mode. You'll figure it out!

BE2025 Metro - 1 SIM slot
BE2026 US unlocked - 1 SIM slot
BE2028 T-Mobile - 2 SIM slot
BE2029 International - 2 SIM slot2025 and 2028 come factory (bootloader) locked but can be unlocked with token, or without token using the procedure in the N100 thread. See xda-developers for appropriate files.
The important thing is network unlocked. Make sure it is, or you are able to do so before purchase. Otherwise, you will be stuck to whoever's network it is locked to.
2nd SIM is irrelevant as it does not work with UT. 2029 lacks some US bands. Purchase any of the other three if in NA - NOT BE2029
Any of the other three are good as they have the same band coverage. 2026 just eliminates some hoops as it is already factory and network unlocked.

I left out requirement for WiFi calling (if a phone is to be 'daily driver'), in previous posts.
I use WiFi more than cellular (basement office & workshop, in rural area = terrible cell reception).
I read that VoLTE functionality shares code with WiFi calling, so the VoLTE functionality is required.
Also looked into Linphone (failed to install native, due to 64 bit not available, also could not find a version to install via Libertine).
The UT old revision device pages for Nord N10 & Volla Phone do NOT mention WiFi calling in the main chart of Supported Features, and also NOT listed as 'Unsupported' below that - just plain missing !
On the bright side, wireless external monitor works OK on the Pixel 3A XL, and is listed as functional on the Nord N10, but as NOT functional on the Volla. (at least on old releases page).
So, if trying for a portable office, Nord N10 appears to be the better choice !
Maybe time to create a spreadsheet comparing status of features across UT supported models...
Does anyone know if a summary (all devices) status chart exists ?
