update i thought it needed more user feedback when activating stuff ....if you tried this try it again old one v1.15 to v1.17 ....everything should actually work now because the internal diagnostics say so

@developerbayman When you say you only ran it on your desktop - you mean installed and did some testing ? SO, is there a UT version in progress ? If so, what is status of that ? IF you had just the printing functions implemented, maybe I could test that with Office package (your or others) using external display. Do I understand your effort correctly ?

@oldbutndy in theory .....ok fine ill post what i have but its severely broken .....lol i was asked if im gonna finish all these ...like ppsspp port i consider finished despite the focus bug that will likely be the first one i post on openstore ....everything else is mostly kinda bugged ....maybe ill stop producing and start fine tuning? ......tbh im kinda adhd spaz and i just roll with what feels good at the moment ...its 3:2 now i got to go to work at 7 so ill try to post something on this before that ...possibly when i get back ....you see as of right now ....menu's are not working properly and everything is wonk .....the writer might actually be the only thing that works

                      @developerbayman I was asking status.
Maybe list a few things that work, or are coded, but don't work.
You don't have to post it.
If it is 90% not working, then what is the point ?
But maybe, at 50%, there are usable portions ?
I understand the ADHD thing - lots of partial projects myself.
                      The critical ones get done.
So, maybe you focus on whatever you feel is highest benefit to you ?
Or take a poll, and work on what most people say they would benefit most from ?

@oldbutndy honestly i think its this ....and honestly your the the most interested person so far i think?? ...i was hoping as i was cranking all these app out people would test and report back all those things for all the apps so i could focus on fixing the list of broken things ...this isnt the case it seems so i have to basically do everything so its taking a bit ....im not mad or anything i just was expecting a slightly different scenario ...thats prob my bad for having pre-expectations

@developerbayman My interest is because it appears you are working on native apps, and specifically maybe solving 'printing problem'..
I run Linux Mint on most PC's, & windows only rarely & where I have no choice (Software for Curtis brand motor controller parameter setting app only available on Windows - maybe use it once a year to set up / change a controller, or other similar rare things).
I would prefer a phone that runs Linux, and runs native apps - specifically office type apps on UT phone & external display. [ was ABLE to install a native office suite on my UT phone, & (using wireless external display) it worked enough to create a file.]
I frequently print things from Linux Mint (I am 'oldschool', and worked a few years at Xerox, on laser printers, starting about 42 years ago, so I 'expect' to be able to print from any system that is 'office').
I was NOT able to print from Office suite on UT.
So, this issue feels like failure.
You have posted that you are working on Office app & printing app - this 'workspace'.
Have you tried to print from UT using your app ?

@oldbutndy i have not because i dont own a printer ....so your my guy if you dont mind .....as of writing this i have to build and test some so im gonna try to post something ....also in workspace i discovered mad flaws so i need to do some repairs before i think itll actually work ....as of right now i dont think workspace really works also for that im gonna really need the broader experience from the community ...some of the features i added in i cant even test printing for example ....i do have a 3d printer though

The printing system is not included in the Ubuntu Touch images due to a lack of space for the root filesystem on many device models.
Work is currently underway to be able to increase the size of the rootfs.
This will enable numerous developments, such as concurrent support for Q5 and Qt6, the transition to mir2+mir1... and the integration of the CUPS printing system.

So, it's coming, more a matter of months now than a matter of years.

Is there a way to determine if my device (Nord N10 5G) might have enough space for larger root filesystem ?
