Can't update to 24.04-1.3
-
I'm trying to update to UT 24.04-1.3, but the updater only reboots to recovery where I can only do the usual 'Factory Reset' or other advanced options, and nothing is installed.
Am I supposed to do a factory reset to trigger the update or am I missing something?
PS: the device is the Lenovo M10 tablet.

You could try the installer (leave the option to delete user data to its default value, unchecked).
-
The installer doesn't seem to detect the device, and explicitly states one should have Android 11 installed (when manually selecting the device). Would it be sensible to proceed? I don't want to brick the device.

The installer doesn't seem to detect the device
this happens to me when trying to reinstall my Fairphone 5 that works correctly both before reinstalling and after, so it's more a shortcoming of the installer than a blocker.
states one should have Android 11 installed
here it's more mixed unfortunately.
If you had already installed 24.04-1.2 and it worked correctly (as far as the device page for this device states it) I think that you can proceed nonetheless since all that the previous Android version is leave the correct device drivers in the Android partitions, so if it worked before it should work after.
A caveat is that a hardware problem could have developed on your device in this case there is not much that software can do. After all, so far you are the only person having such trouble with updating to 1.3 from 1.2.If not, it would be wise to give more details on the previous situation before going further.

@gpatel-fr Indeed I used the installer in the past with 24.04-1.2. I'm about to try this method, but won't it clear my libertine containers even if I don't wipe user data?
@Keneda the Wifi version, X306.

I have Libertine setup when installing first the phone, tried to install a few apps and prompty forgot all about it as I don't use the phone as a computer, however after several upgrades and one reinstall the Libertine container seems to be still here so I'd say that you can have ope to have it after reinstalling.

@gpatel-fr Using the installer won't work, it hangs on 'waiting for fastboot' because the device won't reboot. Not sure if that's related to the issue causing failure on OTA update though.
I also get a 'device not supported' when the installer is detecting the device:

I can't give you expert advice about your device unfortunately. Generally speaking from my limited experience (I have only one phone with UT, a Fairphone 5) when UT is installed the installer may have trouble running unless the device is set manually in fastboot.
In these cases I have used 'sudo reboot fastboot' under UT to get to the desired fastboot mode. If UT don't start you may have success using the phone controls (IIRC starting while pressing Down (or Up ?), or using the device boot menu.
Additionaly it's indeed necessary to specify the target (detection don't work).
In short, your current state is cause of concern of course, but not yet of despair.
