Re: Welcome to the UBports community! Introduce yourself here!
Former DBA and consulting IT project manager getting involved with Ubuntu Touch. Current platform is a Google Pixel 3a XL with U.S. AT&T prepaid service. I can only send/receive texts and browse right now...until I figure out how to perform the VoLTE updat.
Looking forward to helping. Not a great developer when it comes to software, but would like to try my hand at/learn about controlling hardware at the device level and can see myself helping with managing ports.
Ripcord

@JDee-Intl Welcome, we're happy to have you with us!

Hi again @JDee-Intl
This gives context to my previous answer.
In order for you to attempt helping out the porter of your device, you'll need to set a development environment and be able to build an image from sources.
For this I highly recommend to check the porting documentation out:
https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/porting/introduction/index.htmlThis way you'll better understand how it works and what is involved in this issue.

@AppLee Thank you! I've been reviewing the UBports site/documentation already, but have a lot to learn.

Hello everyone,
I am very happy to join this community, my name is Ermete, but I go by Il Dorato on here, you can call me either one. I came across Ubuntu touch because I was tired of using Android only. I wanted to free myself from any relations to corporations such as Google and liberate my phone hardware. Thanks to everyone involved in this wonderful project and I am excited to hopefully get a chance to meet and talk to some of you.
