Ubuntu 15.04 (OTA-15) was preinstalled on the device when I bought the device.

How do I install ota-6 RC on this?

@wartburgritter hi, I moved this topic to Support.

Probably the easier way to go from Canonical's version to UBports' version is using the ubports-installer (https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/).

PS OTA-6 is not published yet 🙂

@wartburgritter If you are on Ubports Ubuntu Touch yes it is. If you are still on Canonical Ubuntu Touch you need to install Ubports first as @advocatux suggested.

Will the tablet be formated and all data is lost on ubports install? In 98 % I use the browser and unav. Does they work quite well ?

Ahh I do not mind losing all data. What I do not know is how to keep or backup the browser bookmarks of ubuntu touch browser.

Started to install the ota-6 ...

The installer gui says please reboot to bootloader. How does this works? If I reboot the device it starts until the login screen is available.

The installer was installed on a Debian Stretch using the deb package from here: https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/releases/tag/0.1.21-beta

how about code tags in the forum?
