@advocatux Please reopen issue 376 (no mobile data in OTA3). I have not been able to get it working even with a fresh installation (including data wipe) of OTA-6 from the stable channel.

Please let me know if more information would be helpful. Thanks.

@firstbyte hi, have you tried to open that issue yourself? IIRC you can do it. Adding the logs (see which ones I added in that issue) would be perfect.

If you have any trouble re-opening it, please ping me and I'll open it again so you can add your info & logs.

@firstbyte Just on the off chance have you tried changing to the dev channel in update settings.

@advocatux I just added a comment to the issue, including the standard logs, but I didn't see any way to reopen the issue (I'm guessing I don't have the permissions). Would you please take care of that?

@Lakotaubp I tried following one of the suggestions in the thread, along the lines of your suggestion. I installed from the RC channel (W50) and then I attempted to reinstall from the stable channel. Unfortunately, the phone wound up in a bootloop and the only way I found to get it running again was to install factory Android (wiping the data) and then install UT again.

@firstbyte If you feel like it go to system settings, Updates then update settings (at the bottom of the page) and change the channel to development. Let the phone update and see what happens.
If you get stuck at non stop goggle screen on and off try flicking quickly pressing the power button with your finger again and again with your finger That fixes it on one of my nexus5. If you have tried all this and I've miss read your answer ignore all this.

@Lakotaubp My earlier attempt was with RC, so I gave it a try with development. The good news: installation of development (2018-12-18/2) and then of stable worked flawlessly. The bad news: in neither version did mobile data work.

                  @advocatux Thanks.

@firstbyte just to give you some ideas: can you test if mobile data works with Android in your phone? Can you try with a different SIM card on UT? Are you sure the data switch is on?

@Lakotaubp Yes, I did indeed install the latest version of the baseband firmware.

@advocatux Mobile data worked under OTA-3 (with the same SIM card). I checked that the data switch was on.

Is the default next step to wait for a developer to look at this issue when it comes up in the priority queue? Alternatively, are there any documents or guidelines on UT's mobile data handling (outside of the code itself)?

With my provider, my sim card doesn't propagate the settings correctly. I need to set/force the APN settings.

@firstbyte usually "the default next step", after reporting an issue and providing relevant logs, is to wait for other users to confirm that issue

@ernest I checked the settings and found that the APN wasn't correctly propagated. After I fixed it, mobile data worked!

@advocatux Unless others continue to have this problem, I recommend that the issue be closed again.

By the way, Ernest's suggestion also led to fixing the problem with MMS messages (see issues 12, 276 and 976).

                              Thanks for everyone's help.
