After i have connected ubuntu phone 16.04 (a) to ubuntu phone 16.04 (b) WITH A CABLE, is it possible:

        • to access all folders (even mmc) of ubuntu phone (b) on ubuntu phone (a) and make handlings (copy, paste..) by ubuntu phone a.
        • inversely.. (a)... (b)... by b.

If yes what is the procedure.
Are there command lines or not ?

        Thanks

Put one in hotspot mode, connect the other with Wifi to it and use SSH/SCP.

I think it is not possible via USB cable at the moment, no.

You can use SSH to connect from one to the other, if you have the keys generated and set up properly, and SSH enabled on the phone you wish to connect to.

              @dobey @guru ok.

              Thanks for your answers.

Precisely the aim for me was to dispense with Wifi and to use USB cable..

So phone can't have currently the dual function of phone (computer) and external device via usb cable.

Hope it will be possible later. It could be useful precisely to avoid wifi.

It's possible to use ADB but you'd have to install it first via apt which isn't really officially supported.
And I don't think it'll work in libertine.

guru is right, create a hotspot on one of your device and connect the other to it. This way you don't need external wifi connection. Either setup SSH between the two or use WifiTransfer app.

So as to transfer data between two Ubuntu phones, if i don't want waves or WIFI, i use this easy way even if it isn't a direct connexion :
it is quite feasible to connect a USB KEY on a ubuntu phone with a short appropriate cable. And after to connect the USB key to the other phone..

Hmmm, sounds like data transfer as in the GOD™ of 80-column punch cards. 🙂

Quick search says, it's possible. You have just to figure it out. 😄 And, don't forget to share your findings. 😉
