        Hi hudson,

        to flash your Meizu MX4 just off your phone, then press VOLUME DOWN and POWER ON as long as it starts. You see a black screen and a very small text down left side "Fastboot-Mode". Connect Phone with USB 2.0 not 3.0 to PC. Start Terminal and run Magic Device Tool. When its finish with "Exiting script. Bye.Bye" wait until the Phone is finish too. It restarts by themselve and when you can select the language and other settings yoU are ready to use the new system.
        Good luck.
        To me it works perfectly! Nice work from UBports

          Well it looks like you are trying to flash Ubuntu onto an MX4 with Android and the bootloader isn't unlocked, at least by this source: https://github.com/MariusQuabeck/magic-device-tool/issues/42

          So check out the link and see the solution. Should not be that hard but will require some patience.

            thank you for your messages. But it does not work. I can not unlock the boot of my smartphone.

            Android 5.1
            FlymeOS: 5.6.4.12G
            Série: 75HABKH2ZDES

            How to successfully install my favorite OS ?

            It's really hard to unlock this phone

              @hudson

              Try to unlook it with the SP Flash Tool.
              You can download it here:

                Thank you for your answers but I can not. Impossible to force the mx4 bootloader.
                I do not have to do things right.
                It's a shame because I broke my BQ 4.5.

                SP Flash Tool does not detect the mx4 at all while the magic device tool detects the smartphone.

                I do not see how to unlock the bootloader of this mx4.I need all possible help ... pleeeeeeeeeease
