        @Photojoe4 what do you see if you go to System Settings > Updates > Update Settings > Channels?

        Can you select "stable" there? If you can do it, close System Settings after that, and then reopen it again. There's a known issue in that app about not refreshing the info properly.

          @advocatux I THINK that worked. When I go back to System Settings>Updates>Update Settings>Chanels it shows I'm on Stable. If I go to System>About This Device however, it doesn't give me the option to check for an update (I can check by going to System Setting>Updates though, so I should be able to get the next update that way). Thanks!

            @Photojoe4 Please refer
            https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1771/updated-channel-settings-does-not-reflect-on-update-screen-and-update-settings-screen
            and
            https://github.com/ubports/system-settings/issues/87

            But this small issue is still open and more issues are open.

            @advocatux will I be allowed to check the code and improve? Where to properly approach? Thanks in advance.

              @nnn hi, of course you can check the code and send PRs 🙂

              That repo (https://github.com/ubports/system-settings) is a good place to start with it.

                @advocatux Please refer its README

                The System Settings application for Ubuntu Touch.

                The upstream project is hosted on launchpad, the design on the Ubuntu wiki:
                https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-system-settings
                https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SystemSettings

                Please advise as I am a new - does it mean the launchpad has the latest code? Thanks.

                  @nnn oh, I see! I think that info is not updated.

                  I'm going to ping someone who can help you. Are you in the Core Apps Development group?

                        Hmm, looks like every time I go to System>About This Device>Check For Updates I am switched back to the RC channel. If I change it back to Stable from System Settings>Updates>Update Settings>Chanels will I receive the next OTA from the Stable channel? And is there a way of knowing which channel I'm actually on?

                          @Photojoe4 Yes you will, as long as you stay off RC. If I remember Channels update along these lines Dev-daily, RC-weekly, Stable-6 to 8 weeks(ish). If you stop on RC when the next OTA comes out you will have it already.
                          When you switch to stable you will get effectively OTA-8.

                          Edit Or reflash UT and choose stable in the installer settings and your done.
                          The channel you are on will show in system settings, updates, update channel

                            @Lakotaubp Thanks! So just to be clear, if I don't go back to System>About This Device>Check For Updates I should just get OTA-8 when it comes out, correct? Or I can just re-flash after OTA-7 comes out...

                              @Photojoe4 If you go back to stable you will get OTA-8. That is the current base for the stable channel.
                              You will then get OTA-9 as and when it is ready.

                                @Lakotaubp Switched to Stable last night from System Settings>Updates>Update Settings>Chanels and this morning it is switched back to RC again (haven't gone to System>About This Device>Check For Updates since last night). Think I'm just going to have to re-flash it. It's odd, I remember being able to switch back and forth before (think it was when a bug with the Notes app was fixed).
