Keyboard bug/feature request

Hello, would it be possible make it so that holding the keyboard backspace button down erases an entire word at a time with pauses in between? instead of slowly picking up speed. This would give us more control over erasing
On oneplus one device, the haptic feedback is extremely faint, can you add a setting to change vibration duration/other settings? I was able to go into /usr/share/maliit/plugins/com/ubuntu and change the duration in the keyboardContainer.qml as suggested by another forum topic which resolved.
Also, haptic feedback doesn't work at all on the space button.
Thanks!

@dieharddan Not directly what you need but this may be of interest https://ubports.com/blog/ubports-blog-1/post/ubuntu-touch-on-screen-keyboard-osk-140
There's more items of interest here too https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2008/the-ubports-tutorial-links-collection -
Doesn't apply to my question, but thanks for the links they are useful.

Haptic feedback feels fine on my MX4 and Nexus 5 (a bit weaker). Perhaps it's a problem on OPO or you just want it stronger than usual. I guess it'll be fine to have an option for strength of feedback i.e. Normal, Weak, Strong.
You may file an issue in github. The space button should have haptic feedback. You should file an issue in github about this.
About the backspace button, I've never seen a system that does that even on desktop OS...or I just don't notice
But honestly I won't like it. -

On a PC with real keyboard there are modifier keys, so Ctrl+Bksp for example will delete to the beginning of a word or such.

@dobey Ah yes that's true. But I can't think of a way to translate that to OSK. 3D touch?

If you have an android phone, download SwiftKey keyboard, it has this feature and it is very good. It erases whole words at a time only when the button is prssed and held instead of having to chicken peck the backspace real fast which is time consuming when you have 4 or 5 words to backspace for example
