          @Kelvin-Cheung hi, usually that kind of error is fixed by uninstalling the modemmanager package on your PC. You can read this now archived article explaining that issue https://web.archive.org/web/20180118130643/http://www.mibqyyo.com/en-articles/2015/09/16/ubuntu-android-installation-process-for-bq-aquaris-e4-5-and-e5/

            @advocatux I uninstalled the modemmanager and still failed to flash my phone with the same error.
            BTW, I can't open https://web.archive.org/web/20180118130643/http://www.mibqyyo.com/en-articles/2015/09/16/ubuntu-android-installation-process-for-bq-aquaris-e4-5-and-e5/

            Thanks anyway!

              @Kelvin-Cheung i just tested the link and it worked for me with Firefox on Mint
              https://web.archive.org/web/20180118130643/http://www.mibqyyo.com/en-articles/2015/09/16/ubuntu-android-installation-process-for-bq-aquaris-e4-5-and-e5/

              Tried copying the article but it was confusing with bits missing. Can try again later if needed.

                @Kelvin-Cheung it works for me. Maybe archive.org is blocked by your ISP / Workplace / Country or something like that?

                Edit: I posted a screenshot of that site here https://imgur.com/k6mHCjX 🙂

                    Still can't access it. Maybe I'm blocked indeed.

                      @Lakotaubp @advocatux Thanks!
                      I followed jamieweb's way to modify ubports-installer(https://www.jamieweb.net/blog/installing-ubports-ubuntu-touch-on-the-meizu-mx4-ubuntu-edition/#fixing-the-failed-remote-unknown-command-error) and got UT installed on my MX4 finally!
                      This latest method is proved to work and should be topped.
                      Many thanks to @jamieweb and @AlainW94!

                          @Kelvin-Cheung Thanks, I might try this I have an old MX4 stuck on the Cannonical Ubuntu Touch I have had issues simply connecting it up to any computer but have had some success with the USB connection more recently, but no luck with installing UB Ports UT.

                            @halucigenia Tape the phone and cable down when you get a connection. The Mx4 can be a right pain to maintain a connection.
