Looks like it will ship to customers next week:
          https://liliputing.com/2019/10/fxtec-pro1-smartphone-with-keyboard-slider-set-to-ship-within-a-week.html

SoC wise it is fairly similar to a OnePlus3, so I guess a UT port is quite feasible.

Fairphone 5 (Not yet installed UT on it though)

Since I have a Pro1 sitting here gathering dust waiting on the LineageOS port, this is of great interest to me. 🙂 Does anyone know where to get that image?

                      From the specs:

                      USB Type-C with HDMI support

I hope that works as well 🙂

Many thanks. Somehow I missed reading all the followups. I haven't twittered (tweetened?) in a while I guess. 😄

The hardware is very slick in person. And it's also unique to the current industry. Without a zombie brand name (e.g., Blackberry), unique hardware isn't going to attract the sort of market share to deliver economies of scale.

I was told that an expansive phone is likely not to see ubuntu touch ported on it, i feel like it's not so true now ^^

So I have a question. It says the Pro1X has an unlocked bootloader. Please pardon the normy question, but is that the same thing as the Pinephone's ability to load an OS from an SD card?

Like can I get the Lineage Pro1X, and boot UT from a microSD?

No apologies needed. But no, that is not the same thing. It simply means that you can flash a different OS to the phone without needing to jump through any hoops to be allowed to.

@arubislander OK, so if I start with a Lineage Pro1X, and decide to switch to UT, then it's a one way street. I'm only on UT until I decide to flash to Lineage.

No, it is not a one way street. You could always flash Lineage again should you wish to. You can simply not have both at the same time. But that last limitation has nothing to do with the bootloader.

Also I understood that the makers are looking into providing a multi-boot solition for this phone.
