      Hello together,

I am using version 16.04 and don't get GPS signal. So uNav doesn't work. Geolocation is activated. Is it a bug? The "SensorsStatus“ app doesn't find any device.

      Thanks for your answers

Have you tried switching sleep when idle to never in battery settings, switching gps on or location in uNav and leaving it by a window for 20 mins or longer.

What do you mean with "switching sleep"? Is it shortly pushing power button?

In system settings -> battery you can configure the number of idle minutes after which the device auto suspends; set this to ^never* a MB d wait for some minutes and outside any building of course.

Thank you very much! Outside it works after waiting 2 minutes 👍🙂
Inside a building it loses connection 🙁
                  Your advice was very helpful!

The GPS receiver needs direct free view at least to 3-4 satelites.

@stefwe Clear sky or cloudy, rainy? Or in a street with skyscrappers? Be more specific about test conditions.

                            Positioning must be switched on:

I tried "uNav" and "GoogleMaps" and in both apps the geolocation worked after a few minutes.

                                  Hi guru,
apparently geolocation only works via GPS and not using the hotspots around (neither WLAN), hence I can not be located on the map while using the device indoors. Let's hope that this will be further developed in the future!

When traveling abroad, it makes sense in foreign towns between skyscrapers, in restaurants or on the subway.
