        Hi.

        How is this achieved?

        Thanks.

@Opolork As long as you are on stable OTA-11, you can use the TweakTool to add favorit apps. With OTA-12 that is not longer possible. See here: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2579/i-wanna-go-home?_=1582974106923

These are not favorite apps, and will no longer be there from OTA 12, as scopes have been removed, and apps scopes are replaced by the app drawer.

If you want to pin favorites, the best place to do this is on the launcher panel on the left side. Open the launcher, while the app is running, long press on the app icon, and choose the Pin to launcher option.

@dobey The launcher can get crowded. I'd like to use that for frequently used and the favorites one for less frequently used apps.

Another option with OTA12 RC is to use the Sprint app that is available in the Open Store.

If the launcher get crowed it's because you have too much favorites πŸ˜‰

There is also launcher modular which I know is being polished before release for the OTA12
BTW, sprint app will probably need to be updated or compiled to arm64 (?!)

I'm using few apps on a daily basis and I found that the launcher is well enough : GPS, Teleports, Morph, Bank, Domotic, Social media
Oh, I just realized that with OTA12, Phone and Messaging won't be isolated so add them to the list...

@kugiigi Now the phone app and the messaging app are on top with the "system" apps.
But I realized that with OTA12 they now will be located like other apps regarding their name.

I too miss the 'favorites' function, but I more fail to see why there aren't any options for sorting the entries in the drawer. Any way you want as long as it's alphabetical...

Simply adding a sort-by-most used view would solve much of the problem. Or sorting by categories would be nice. I'd prefer something built into the core function than adding additional launchers and programs. Just my musings.

Or maybe being able to shuffle them around in the grid. Like the launcher.

Because you haven't submitted a merge request to implement any sorting features. πŸ™‚

Sorting by most used applications was indeed a planned feature, but it was not completed before Canonical dropped development. All the necessary underlying parts are not there yet, and nobody is working on them. If we keep waiting for such things, we'll never get anything released.
