what's the difference between developer, stable...
-
How do I figure out what the most recent release is? Seems like it would be pretty straight forward.
-
@Mr-Smartyman Stable is as the name suggests the current most stablet version of the OS for day to day use. It gets an OTA update approx every 3 months.
RC or release candidate is next. It has a weekly or there abouts update and is what will become the next Stable version when ready and will have a few glitches every now and then but can be used on a daily basis if you expect this.
Lastly there is Dev or development which is as it's name suggests a development version of the OS and is subject to bugs and errors not recommended for daily use. -
If you intend to use uTouch as a lambda user like me, for personnal daily use, and not debugging or dev apps or core software, just stay on stable.
If you wan't to beta test and help devs with your feedback, go RC.

how does one know when the next OTA is coming? Or, what the current version is?
-
@Mr-Smartyman Next OTA (12) is on final testing phase and should be released soon. You can check which is the current used version through: - system settings, - about, - operating system.

got it. Thank you.
