OTA-12 Is Coming And We Need Your Help!
-
Update over cellular worked great so far, thank you!
OTA-11 showed me on top of the screen "4G" or "E", OTA-12 only shows "L"The browser supports now websites like coinbase.com, which is a massive improvement!
Hotspot works as well...
Great work!!! -
Device: Hammerhead
OS: RC 2020-W16
When I have the phone in landscape mode and opens the drawer it does not go all the way to the right side, is this an expected behavior? My daily device is on Devel and the drawer goes all the way to the right side. -

only shows "L"
That is indeed true. On OPO dev channel, i never see 4G anymore, only at maximum L (''4G" LTE I think). I thought it was coming from my cellular provider.
But is this something that everyone sees on phones supporting 4G on dev or rc channel ? If so, what is the explanation? -

Coming from canonical OTA 15 to UBP OTA 11 last week, had "4G" on them (or H for 3G, and E for 2G).
Now on RC i have "L" (still H for 3G).
MX4. -
@Keneda If I don't remember it wrong I think that Flohack gave an explanation regarding the L and it stands for LTE.

sorry still newbie this for which device and which update channel ?
-
@stan If you want to test OTA12 check that your apps are all upto date. Go to the OpenStore and check there. Then go to System Settings, Updates, then Update settings on the next page change the channel to RC. Then go back and install the update.

@Lakotaubp i was on RC and i'm on version 72 and i have no new updates
-
@stan If your on RC you have OTA-12
-
@AppLee yep, DL was quick, but update got stuck on the boot screen for 10s of minutes. I had to force a reboot and everything seems to be fine now.
However, the automatic download for version 304 of the non-RC channel is still downloaded and ready to install in Sys Settings -> Updates.
How can I get rid of that?
Where does the updater store the downloads?Thanks

@0xPIT
The answer is somewhere on this forum.
Posted in the last couple of months I think. I'll go to sleep but I will try to dig that up tomorrow if not answered meanwhile. -
@AppLee thaks man!
-
@0xPIT swipe the update to the right, a trashcan is shown, press it and it is hopefully gone.

If the method from Rondarius doesn't work for you, that's what I dug up :
https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3923/delete-unapplied-update/10And keep us posted. It's always nice to see you're problem has been solved.

The flight mode still is not working correctly for fairphone2 (long standing bug...). I have to restart the device whenever I (accidently) activated it. Wifi comes back after turning the flight mode off, but the connection to LTE cannot be restablished. Even though I have to reenter the pin for the sim cards (which in itself is unusual), there is no connection to the network, I can't call or be called, and no mobile data usable.

Thanks.
This works for e.g. "Recent updates", but not for "Updates Available" - those can't be swiped -> bug? -
@0xPIT
Cf my previous post -
@AppLee yep thanks. looked everywhere, there are no big files anywhere to be found. so maybe it's gone. Bueno.
