OTA-12 rotation bug on Oneplus One (Bacon)
-
Hi everyone,
Just got the upgrade and it looks good, I have no issues with the new dock/launcher, looks good! There is a problem though with rotation. Regardless if rotation lock is on or off, the screen will not rotate, it just stays in the default portrait mode. I tried following /etc/syslog while rotating and setting the lock on and off but it doesn't tell me anything.
Is this a known issue? Can I file a bug somewhere?
TIA,
Jules.

Rotation does not work anywhere? Just asking because when you don't have any open apps, and only the launcher/app drawer, I believe it doesn't rotate.

I tried terminal, phone, gallery, dekko2 and the browser. Everything stays portrait. The same when I'm in "harmonica mode" (to select an app) or when no app is running at all.

Rebooting solved it, I can now rotate, lock and unlock. Seems that at the first start of OTA-12 it doesn't work right away. Sorry to bother you!

Ugghh. I came here looking for others with this issue. My OnePlus is having the same issue, except the restart didn't help. Maybe I'll try a few more times.

@ZSauce maybe you could install Messwerk: https://open-store.io/app/harbour-messwerk.mymike00 to see if the sensors are working correctly

I'll give that a go. Thanks so much!

Messwerk is showing that none of my sensors are working. Before OTA12, I know for sure that rotation was working. I've yet to get GPS to work. I can't speak for all the other sensors. I'll keep tinkering. Thanks!

I just applied the latest "edge" update. After the restart, rotation is working again.
