[SOLVED] Export to PDF document using camera scanner
-
Hi,
I’m trying to export a pictured document into PDF using the app “camera scanner” but I’m unable to find how to do it.
Thank you very much beforehand for your clarification.

Hi @stanwood!
You need to press the download button in the top right corner. That will only work if the camera scanner has actually recognized the edges of your document. You'll see the difference in the preview pictures. A dark or at least uniform underground/background helps. Edges of the document have to be on the photo an well visible.

@hummlbach Thank you for your input. Indeed when I press “download document” on the top right screen, it asks me with which app I wish to open it, but no option to export to PDF, even if my pictured sheet is well. Perhaps I will try to do it at day light without any shadow on the document. (?)

@stanwood Its not 100% comfortable but it should also work at night (at least it does for me).

@hummlbach Done it! Thank you very much! Indeed, I've put my black jacket under my sheet and camera scanner app recognised it as PDF document!

I managed to get a scan on a dark surface with the native camera app, however there are no indicators which highlight the exact framing of the document.
Not sure if it's possible, but when creating a scanning session using the Camera Scanner app, opening the native camera application, it would be great to have such highlighting appearing to know and see (better) what you're scanning in real-time and be able to adjust that part if neccesary.

Hi @3t_ed
I think it's better to open a feature request on the repository of the app.
You'll get more visibility there I think.
