The only smartphones that you will find with Ubuntu already installed are second hand BQ E4.5 or E5 Ubuntu Edition or the Meizu MX4 or Pro 5. You're probably better buying a Nexus 5, One Plus One or Fairphone 2 and install UBports.

In all fairness (having a bq phone myself) I would go for something newer. I had issues with my E5 and now I am too looking for a phone to put UBPorts on.

Try the FP2. AFAIK it is the best supported phone for UT for the time being. Only minor bugs like no LED and camera gets no access after coming back from background. But those bugs are already in work and will hopefully being fixed in the next update. https://github.com/ubports/ubports-touch/milestone/2?closed=1

                Thanks.
Think you that the of the phones compatibles with ubports will be longer than today?

@fwehrli you can see this list of devices https://devices.ubports.com/#/

All of them marked as "Core Devices" are what you are looking for.

Will the BQ M10 FHD also receive update to 16.04?
                    On the website is written:
"These devices will soon be rebased on Ubuntu 16.04"
Actually I installed 16.04 already on my M10 FHD device, when Canonical was the developer and it was somehow working.

But somewhere I was reading, that UBports will not make 16.04 for that device, because it's not open source hardware.

@WLBI that's a really good question for tomorrow's Community Update.

Maybe @UniSuperBox will read it here but it's better if you copy&paste your question in this thread:

                        Thanks for that hint.
                        I posted the question there.
Let's see if they will mention it?
