The root filesystem is readonly and upgrading through apt is not supported. System updates are image based.

What are you trying to achieve exactly?

SSH is already installed. You just need to start it (you can run sudo start ssh on the Pinephone), and copy your public key into the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file (as password auth is disabled on the phones for security).

UT TweakTool in the OpenStore has settings for SSH I think.

@jesica I found these instructions from Pine64 to be an easy set up
                          https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=10165

EDIT: But I've just re-read them; may only be effective in dev channel, not sure.

                                Hi, @nogoogle

@applee Interesting, I did not post anything on the forum within the past 3 weeks, so I am not sure where this post of mine time-stamped as "a day ago" came from ??

Nevertheless the link I would refer to is this one

                                  http://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/advanceduse/ssh.html?highlight=ssh

Hope this helps @jesica but I still don't understand how I would have posted a reply to her less than 24h ago.....
