I do not understand your question right, but these are the most important things needing some development support imo even for 15.04:

          • Notifications for all services
          • Supporting uMatriks development so that it will be usefull like riot on Android
          • new web browser
          • support super groups in telegram app

An unified email client with calender support.
I would somehow prefer a comunication program: SMS, Signal, Telegram, mails,calenders....all unified in one good program with the ability of making a backup.
I would like to reduce this stupid app-mess of smartphones that apple and google created.

That's an easy one :-)Terminal, with a full ability to use apt-get to install and update packages, without the hacky solution of disabling write protection on the system.

Convergence, to me, is less about being able to connect a display, mouse and keyboard (though that would be nice), and more about having the same unfettered access to the command line and traditional linux package management as I do on the desktop 🙂

FWIW, I just installed this for the first time, but the first thing I did was research how to get apt-get working 😉 Among users of a Linux phone, I imagine there must be more people like me 🙂

                  ....

This is easy. Create a chroot system and there you can install and compile anything you like. You can even launch applications from outside the chrooted system when setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH accordingly so the application can see needed shared libs, etc.

@guru Thank you for your reply! I'm afraid I don't have experience with chroot, but what I have read sounds promising 🙂 Some questions remain, but I feel I should gain some experience before asking them here. I will experiment with this 🙂
