The title describes the issue pretty good.
The scrolling in the app drawer is incredibly laggy which is odd because the performance is good with everything else. I also installed Launchermodular which was faster than dash as well. I just want to make clear I dont except perfect lag free scrolling but 1/3 of a second freeze frames suck. Is there a possible fix for this issue?

          Hi @aarontheissueguy
Just a quick note to inform you that I moved your thread to the device specific subforum.
          I hope you'll understand.

@aarontheissueguy so i feel surprised that the scroll is laggy on a recent hardware. I have the same on BQ4.5. I did a small work around waiting to be published but definitly not resolving the underlying issue with UbuntuShape

My wife did not experienced any slow app-drawer on Vollaphone (OTA-15 stable), but a very slightly jerky scrolling of the apps menu.
This will probably be fixed on a future OTA release.

That's weird. On my Xperia X,which I think is inferior in terms of spces, the app drawer is fine even with maybe 50+ apps. It's not perfectly smooth but it's good enough. Maybe it's an issue with graphics on the Volla port? Does hardware acceleration already works on it?

The App Drawer scrolling is all good on my Volla Phone OTA-15 stable.

                    Best regards,

RC 7, RC 8 : Not with the Appdrawer but I experience jerky page scrolling under morph-browser occasionally as well as under dekko.
This may seem surprising with such a hardware that has 4GB of memory, even if a restricted part is allocated: this is not a BQ 4.5 or BQ E 5 HD with 1GB gross !

Closing Morph or dekko and reloading the web page or mail solves the problem.

I also observe some kind of slow/laggy behaviour on the Volla Phone. Compared to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVkOWclo52c
It seems like my Volla just performs worse. For example, the long-swipe from the right to show all open apps is super slow, it looks like it is rendered with 1-2 FPS.

Also the overall experience is okay-ish, but not as fluent as other devices I have dealt with (non-UT), except for my SFOS device. E.g. typing on the keyboard sometimes also feels a bit laggy (still in the okay-bounds I would say though).

I have no other experience with Ubuntu Touch, but also apps (even very basic ones) open only after a delay of 1-3 seconds, which is really a pity. For example opening UT settings takes like forever.

I also have an XPeria 10 ii running SFOS, and while its overall performance is worse than the Volla Phone running UT, it is still capable of opening certain apps instantly.

I thought that the Volla Phone hardware should be quite good/okay, so I'm a bit disappointed by the performance on UT.

I was hoping that the latest update would bring some improvements, but unfortunately I am noticing no difference whatsoever.

@s710 You might observe, as I do, these bad behaviors (unpleasant but not blocking) on the Volla

I should update this as the issue is on every channel :
