Installing Anbox on Pixel 3A

This would require enabling the binder domains for Anbox in the kernel, which hasn't happened yet and won't be tackled until stable OTA-16 is out.
Even if you managed to install Anbox manually it won't magically work without changes to the kernel. PRs are welcome though.

Anbox has been enabled now and will be released in tomorrows devel image.

@fredldotme is this port using armhf rootfs or did you manage somehow, to enable anbox on arm64?

Hello, I have been using this ubuntu touch pixel 3a xl for a couple weeks now, and love it! Anbox sorely dissapointed me however... I am able to install apks without issue, however full screen games get squished in the center of the screen and i am unable to tap on the button to continue (this has happened with several games), and sometimes the app will look like it's opening then crash instantly and dissapear. What I really had my heart set on, was getting aptoide or google chrome running, but any app i use says it is offline, and i can't figure out how to get that going. if anyone can recommend terminal commands or even a simple guide to get internet working on android apps, I would be forever grateful!

Did you install "Anbox" or "Waydroid"?
Anbox is still alive, but not maintained anymore for Ubuntu Touch as WayDroid is the new way to use Androids APKs.Here's the installation script:

Note that WayDroid exists since a few months only and is on a pre-alpha stage yet. Moreover, to get a smoother user experience, I would strongly recommend to wait till UT will have move to Wayland and systemd. (in a year or so I guess)...
But if you are adventurous, you can try, most users feedbacks are rather good and indicate it's without a doubt much better then old Anbox.
If so, don't hesitate to tell us back your experience.

I install anbox on my pixel 3a xl but Unfortunately all apps won't connect to internet wifi and data won't work, I try upgrade anbox, try every single channel from ubuntu touch and is the same, I will try Waydroid hope to use internet on apps if not I will return to Android

Don't try to istall waydroid on top of anbox, you must uninstall anbox first ! -
@keneda Yes I figured out myself but now works but I will ended up not using it because still laggy some apps won't work well.

I had installed Anbox with the github's shell script. I haven't had issues, just a battery drainage in a hungry way.
Does waydroid is better?
Is there a way to uninstall Anbox?
Have people tried both and noticed a difference?
Has turkey more grease than chicken?
Can I move my current 20 GB games to waydroid? -
@thousandtopics Indeed, as I described above, WayDroid is built to be far more usable than Anbox, but is still in a very pre-alpha development stage.
To remove completely old Anbox, Go in the terminal and type:
anbox-tool disable sudo rm -rf ~/anbox-data/ ~/.local/share/applications/anbox/Reboot the device.
Then, there are desktop files named anbox* at ~/.local/share/applications which you can delete the apps on the drawer.
Delete them all.So then you can install WayDroid as explained in my previous post.
