OTA-17 Is Released!
-
@keneda
probably more the second one thinking about it.
-
For me it works ok-ish the rc v100 so if that went into stable there is no rush. Maybe I'll stick to this one until I know that the contacts search on tap-up (key up) triggers the search, not like now when I must write then delete until I win the slot and the search is triggered. This is the best UT until now for OPO.

@marius-ciclistu humm i think contact search issue started from OTA-16 with QT5.12 upgrade, and if search typed slowly, it is fine. correct me if i'm wrong
-
@lduboeuf I recall having contact search troubles looong before OTA16. I always had to type, like you say, slow or delete letter and type again, so search can kick in.
-
@lduboeuf Even if I type slowly it does not search every time.
Also pressing enter on the keyboard does not search. -
@jezek yes it seems that contact search need to be rewritten. One thing interesting would be to test https://github.com/ubports/dialer-app/pull/158 when merged to see if contact search is still slow to trigger. If not, i will try to implement it like this for classic search

Upgraded today - everything works fine. Kudos, guys! :clapping_hands_medium-light_skin_tone:

I finally got IT !

Me too and am happy to say the camera flash now works. Contact search works for me on Nexus 5 just as it did on OTA-16.
-
I'm experiencing more unresponsive screen behaviours on stable v15 so I'm switching back to rc v 100 on my opo.

RC==stable currently if i'm correct

@lduboeuf
Just before updating my spare RC OTA 17 Nexus 5 to stable OTA 17, i searched for update in RC channel just to see if there were one, and found v100 one. -
@lduboeuf rc = release candidate. It works better than stable for me.
-
@marius-ciclistu He meant, current rc images are basically the same as OTA-17 on stable since the image was just promoted from rc to stable.
-
@kugiigi The code may be but some config isn't.
