How can I reinstall Android on my Xperia X?
-
I want to reinstall Android on my device in order to update the Android version to Android 9 or higher. It seems that I might need to format my phone to write the original image back to the phone. Can anyone help?

@marlboro50
From what I know you can try to follow the instructions there:
https://developers.google.com/android/images
or
https://developers.google.com/android/ota
(not sure which one the best)And yeah be careful to save every data you need because it will wipe your phone totally clean from Ubuntu Touch.

@applee The Xperia X is a Sony device, its unlikely to find any instructions on Google pages. Rather, look on Google for how to install factory or stock firmware for Sony Xperia X.

@flohack Oups, I was too quick to read. My bad.
I hate android for that there is no simple answer for anything -
I would start with the Sony Emma Tool

I used this tool successfully fyi which seems required once device is unlocked from what i understood: http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php

OK, a good guess so ^^
Don't forget that's not because we speak english here, that we all rule this language.
Lot of us have another native language (my case), and full words are better to use.
