Telegram deinstallation
-
@stanwood Installed the tweak tool - but it does nothing for me:
When I open it there's a blank screen only.
And there's no possibility to delete the app - same as with telegram. -
@dolli It sounds like you have a deeper problem with your system.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the OpenStore.
If it doesn't work, the easiest thing to do is to reinstall Ubuntu Touch with the installer without checking "wipe". -
@stanwood First I tried with reinstalling Ubuntu Touch, then reinstalling (updating) OpenStore - no positive experience with deleteing telegram ...
The Tweak Tool I can use now - but with Telegram it want to delete cache and settings only. After doing that, OpenStore still does not want to delete ...
To mention: Tweak Tool shows com.telegram. web, OpenStore Telegram Web - if it makes a difference. -
@dolli Not an expert of that technical issue. But would you maybe try TELEports, which is the unofficial Telegram client developed by UBports?
I personally use it and it works fine!
-
@dolli if the Tweak Tool works for you, please try deleting Telegram with that instead of with the OpenStore.
-
@arubislander Tweak Tool only seems to work: I'm able to delete something but deleting the app isn't working. Tried it with Solitaire, too, same thing.
Have to notice that I completely reinstalled UbuntuTouch before this - to get rid off Telegram.
But that deleting other programs (tried it with OpenStore and TweakTool) isn't working now, too, is very disapponting.I think it must be possible - what I cannot see?
-
@dolli what device are you using?
-
This post is deleted! -
@arubislander OnePlusOne.
-
@dolli When I have removed anything with UT Tweak Tool I have clear cache, Application Data and config, deleted the app also from UT Tweak Tool then restarted the phone. I see you have reinstalled UT in the File Manager thread which suggests the issue was more with the system or at least partly. I would try UT Tweak Tool again to see if it now works.
-
@lakotaubp Nope.
-
@dolli May I ask why?
-
@lakotaubp Misunderstanding ...
I tried this, but it didn't work. Same procedure like every year ... -
@Dolli, Are you using apt update & apt upgrade? Because what is happening to you is very strange.
-
@bolly The OnePlusOne is a smartphone - I'm using the GUI alltime ...
I've to notice that it seems that all red buttons have no function - delete, unlocking the child safety key ... And to shut down the phone I've to touch the button at least two or three times ...
I'm not able to show me the app rights, too ... -
@dolli Maybe you'll have to bite the bullet and reload the phone with android...to see if the hardware is the problem -?
-
@dolli, I don't suppose you have installed Anbox or Waydroid either?
-
@all
Think the problem seems to be solved - in one or the other way ...
As I wrote the red buttons are not functional - but only if the OnePlus is in portrait format. When it is in landscape the red buttons are functional ...
If I draw lines in a graphical app there are blank parts on the screen, too.
It seems I've got a problem with the hardware. -
