      Doesn't uTorch work for FairPhone 2 ?

      I have the camera module that's not working. The other module works alright.

        Did you try the Halium 7.1 dev channel ?

          @keneda Yes. No joy. 🤷

            @keneda i prefer not to say , but where i live we don't really have much linux and privacy enthusiasts , and for phones there are almost no oneplus or google pixel devices in any store .

                @herobrine7gamer It depends on your usage - mine is very little. But fair enough. 👋

                well my usage is also little , i would use my phone to call and receive emails and read rss feeds and watching videos , but the most important thing is the camera , i can't use a phone with a bad camera at all , so i would really like a device with a great camera , but i heard that ubuntu touch has problems with camera and taking photos and videos .

                  You can in a certain way (if seler allow it), but fees are in this case, depending where you live, expensives.

                  For instance i live in Europe, and if i select offers from US, it can cost from 30 to 50€ fees, and even more...

                  It depends on the device and the port maturity.
                  On my MX4 photo and video works quite well.
                  Only issue lately since i switched from canonical to ubports UT is with HDR activated on photos, wich can lead to camera app loosing access to camera hardware, have to reboot to solve, so i only activate HDR from time to time.

                    I don't know about that.

                      There's another camera module for the FP2 that UT works with the torch/flash. The camera seems decent besides the lack of flash for me.

                        There is also FP3/+ that will have less camera concerns and wich will be longer supported (i guess, it already has a Halium 10 port thanks to @Luksus ) and more powerfull.

                          @keneda Nice! So all features are now working on the FP3 with Halium?

                              @keneda The FP3 will likely be my next phone. Not sure when though.

                                Thanks to everyone for the advice . after thinking a lot i bought a redmi 9c because i didn't have any other options and because it is extremely cheap - like it was just 160 dollars - and i will also buy another phone with a better camera later . even though the redmi 9c has a not really good camera it has a good battery and the storage is good so maybe it is the best option for me . i will have to wait before i install ubuntu touch because the port is not very good and i am busy those 2 weeks - i am always busy - and i might even try to improve the port when i can . so i will see if it was a good option or not , and i hope it is not a bad option .
                                thanks again for everything !
