@jukebox3711 I would ask here https://t.me/waydroidonut I don't want to get it wrong.
-
Thanks

UT installed on my Fairphone 4. Thanks to the whole team
-
@jukebox3711 The community will be happy to hear your (first) feedback and about 5G if there is..
-
I was perfect to install it but 2/3 things :
- the taking into account of the e-sim which is my personal number and my sim which is my business number
- the top bar with the notch, not perfect visually
- Waydroid, not taken into account and therefore some apps that for me are essential unfortunately
- impossible to change the username, like an idiot I put FP4...
- capricious fingerprint reader
- possible to switch to dark mode on some apps, but not all, strange, besides not possible to choose a dark theme for the whole system
- CalDAV online account that does not display my calendar, maybe the sync with Synology Calendar is not done
- GPS did not work either, although the option was activated, nor the Bluetooth with my car
-
@jukebox3711 As far as I know there are plans in future updates to deal with the notch and rounded corners in future updates (don't have a time scale). WayDroid work is under way.
GPS works first fix takes about 20 mins with the screen set to not switch of while doing so. Bluetooth is hit and miss on most UT devices but I can get it working with generic earbuds and PineTime.
UT Tweak Tool should give system wide dark theme. eSim support is not currently available along with 5G. Not tried CalDav sync yet but they don't show on my Pixel 3a either (need to look into that). Fingerprint reader works ok, just need to enter pin after reboots etc.A couple of links you might like https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android11/fairphone-4/fairphone-fp4/-/issues/ and https://t.me/ut_on_fp4

Hi @lakotaubp,
Yeah for the notch, I think it will be okay in few days or months because it's fix on the Volla 22.
Okay for the other but to me, it's obligatory to have Waydroid and eSim support. I go back to /e/OS/ but come back on UT when it's possible to have Waydroid and eSim support -
For those thinking getting one :
FP4 doesnβt come with a notification LED or a replaceable mic (unlike FP3). -
@domubpkm No, it doesn't work on a 5 G modem, only up to 4. Unfortunately, neither the mobile data system nor the W-Lan is working for me. Just looking for bugs. Everything else worked
-
@carrabelloy For me mobile data works perfect and also WIfi just not the call audio that's not working for me...
-
@carrabelloy Try removing the wifi network and setting up again. First try can fail. Double check apn settings my sims apn are never pulled correctly.

Unfortunately not for me, I downloaded it a second time via the installer. It shows 2 G but not even that works and no W-Lan either. Used the latest installer where it is included. How did you do it? Sorry I have to translate as I don't speak English
-
@carrabelloy I also have done it via the installer but that's already a week ago....
-
@lakotaubp what do you mean please? I would be so happy if the device would work again. I used my onplus 3T the whole time and cried because the battery burst I bought Fairphone so that I can always change the battery I was happy. Unfortunately, like the two problems, it is not possible to finish setting them up a little. Now all that is missing is the transfer of all my settings from the onplus3 T
-
@carrabelloy I mean i installed also it via the installer...
-
@carrabelloy But keep in mint the FP4 would still be into alpha stage as devs still working on it...
