Fairphone 4 Ubuntu Touch

Hi @lakotaubp,
Yeah for the notch, I think it will be okay in few days or months because it's fix on the Volla 22.
Okay for the other but to me, it's obligatory to have Waydroid and eSim support. I go back to /e/OS/ but come back on UT when it's possible to have Waydroid and eSim support -
For those thinking getting one :
FP4 doesnβt come with a notification LED or a replaceable mic (unlike FP3). -
@domubpkm No, it doesn't work on a 5 G modem, only up to 4. Unfortunately, neither the mobile data system nor the W-Lan is working for me. Just looking for bugs. Everything else worked
-
@carrabelloy For me mobile data works perfect and also WIfi just not the call audio that's not working for me...
-
@carrabelloy Try removing the wifi network and setting up again. First try can fail. Double check apn settings my sims apn are never pulled correctly.

Unfortunately not for me, I downloaded it a second time via the installer. It shows 2 G but not even that works and no W-Lan either. Used the latest installer where it is included. How did you do it? Sorry I have to translate as I don't speak English
-
@carrabelloy I also have done it via the installer but that's already a week ago....
-
@lakotaubp what do you mean please? I would be so happy if the device would work again. I used my onplus 3T the whole time and cried because the battery burst I bought Fairphone so that I can always change the battery I was happy. Unfortunately, like the two problems, it is not possible to finish setting them up a little. Now all that is missing is the transfer of all my settings from the onplus3 T
-
@carrabelloy I mean i installed also it via the installer...
-
@carrabelloy But keep in mint the FP4 would still be into alpha stage as devs still working on it...

He asked to @Lakotaubp about his post on wifi and APN i believe ^^
-
@rudi-timmer I have it installed and I'm looking forward to it being continued.
-
@keneda Oh i see dont know that sorry
-
@carrabelloy The first time I set uo wifi it would not connect after setup. Reran the installer and setup again with same details and it worked. There is a bug that can cause the first setup not to work.
As for APN settings for mobile data check that the correct ones are being used. I use a Plusnet sim in UK but it pulls Orange apn settings and not EE which is what I need. Just thought you might have a similar issue. -
@keneda Neither W-Lan nor internet is running, so mobiles aren't either. Although I installed it twice and tried everything. I just don't know how to delete W-Lan, how that should work.
-
@lakotaubp It seems it act on diffrent devices into a other way as i dont had that i got afther my installation directly my wifi and got connected from the first time.... seems wierd acting on some devices it seems...
-
@carrabelloy If you go into System Settings, Wifi, Select your network (or it may be under Previous networks) Then Forget Network. Switch off and restart then entre details again it should work. There is also this group https://t.me/ut_on_fp4 for help and testing.
-
@lakotaubp It's empty, so I know what's going on with wifi and how I'm supposed to turn it off, it's not like my old cell phone that can be turned off. Come from Germany
-
@lakotaubp Unfortunately, the modem does not work or the certificate is not available in the settings because it was not installed. I don't know why the whole thing can be installed for me, but the most important thing is missing.

The Fairphone 4 has almost everything to become a very good UT smartphone in short/medium term because my feeling is that the team of developers behind it is very motivated to make it that way.
