        Hello,

        pleased to say that OP5/5T have now doubletap 2 wake enabled, and switchable from system settings. After rebooting please do not forget to turn it off, as currently it does not remember the off state πŸ˜‰

            @lakotaubp
            I guess it's "off"
            If someone do not want to activate it and switch it off in the settings, their choice would be overwritten in case of a reboot so the user has to deactivate it manually every time the phone reboots.

                    Thank you! Then I'll just wait a bit until it reaches RC. Sweet new feature!

                      Double tap on screen is a great news, but for which smartphone exactly ? Will this mean that for the Volla (if this mechanism will exist), there can be two active double taps at the same time? Because currently, there is the double tap of the fingerprint sensor which wakes up the screen. Eventually, I would have liked to be able to neutralize it (i don't think we can maybe i'm wrong) in favor of the double tap of the screen only.

                          @moem Yes it is indeed, but probably not only i think. It is an old global feature request : https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/472

                            It is a global feature, but it needs to be ported as it is hardware dependent.
                            I think it was explained in the latest Q&A.

                            So every device needs a specific development in order for it to use the feature provided by Ubuntu Touch.

                              @applee Even worse, its a thing that needs to be supported by hardware. So there is nothing to port, it will either work or not depending on what touchpanel was installed.

                              Its not that common, so do not expect that many devices will have it.

                                Thank you for this new thing. I was looking in settings but seen now that is not yet in main channel.

                                Do you have any plans to use touch buttons on OP5 in future? On OP3 touch buttons are used to aces drawer on Lomiri.

                                Any plans to get doubletap activated on OP3?

                                Thanks
