How safe are UT web apps (gmail, ebay, facebook, etc). Is it a bad idea for these apps to have passwords? I ask because many of these apps have like 5 reviews.

@777funk
Hi, I personally prefer not to install web apps.
I tend to create my own or use webber to create a shortcut.
Due to the confinement feature it makes an excellent app for banking or forums or any website you might often visit and keep cookies or other information while avoiding untrusted website to have access to the data unrelevant to it.I tend to use private browsing as the normal mode and very regularly closing the browser.
So frequently visited websites or always on tabs have their dedicated webapp. -
@777funk They should be generally safe but as mentioned, it's better to just create your own using Webber. There are however, webapps that add more functions and tweaks to the site to make them more usable. You can't do this with Webber so you have to rely on those in the store. They should be open source though so you can check their sources yourself.
I think webapps or any embedded webview can be dangerous because they can be manipulated with script injections an such regardless of confinement. So it's fine to be always cautious. Being open source, helps in this regard.
