@developerbayman Very interesting, but I don't think we can create a kind of "Android - Ubuntu Touch decoder" that easily.
We already use the Halium project to help us port the hardware abstraction.
Also, the XDA project you mention has not been maintained since 2013 and presumably no one has taken over its development...
That said, there are many improvements to be made to facilitate future ports (processes, documentation to be improved, translations, etc.) and your participation is also welcome

"We" had Ubuntu Touch GSI port, but deprecated as a "good" port must be done accordingly to a targeted device, and generic port caused more issues than resolved, if i understood correctly. -

@stanwood trying to compile halium from source ended in total failure to the point it made me want to tear out my brainstem and jump rope with it into on coming traffic
