Hi. I want to start working to upgrade the Nexus 5 to focal.
I already found a kernel in progress for halium 9, which according to Florian's information cannot be compiled.
        I found these two repositories.
        https://github.com/ubports/android_kernel_lge_hammerhead/tree/halium-9.0
        https://github.com/ubports/android_device_lge_hammerhead/tree/halium-9.0
The last activity on both repositories is a year ago.
If anyone has any additional information or notes from previous attempts, please post them here.
If anyone else on this phone is actively trying to upgrade to halium 9 and focal, please post here. We can share efforts to get a successful outcome.

@x-Dub Hello! We were looking to upgrade Nexus 5 to focal as well, considering we now have the OnePlus One (which shares almost the same kernel with the Nexus 5) on focal. If you want, we have our focal kernel on https://github.com/ubports/android_kernel_oneplus_msm8974/tree/halium-9.0 which you can try backporting the changes in to your kernel. I wish you good luck!

I would be the happiest on earth!

Don't know much about Halium 9.1 port development, but there's a 7.1 port (which would may be running Focal) quite usable.

              See discussions here:

There are also unofficial (but fully working) LineageOS builds up to version 20 (Android 13) on XDA forum.

              Maybe this would help?
