RE: "The" Bluetooth Thread
Yup did that this morning, I flashed back to stock and BT works fine, switch back to UBuntu, and same issue as before... Bummer...:( I hope this is something that can be fixed. My Xperia X compact runs fine on Sailfish X, and bluetooth is great on it. I'm just not that into Sailfish.

RE: "The" Bluetooth Thread
OK...
So Bluetooth working correctly will make or break it for me to use touch as my OS.
Two days ago I was pulled over and was given a $206.00 fine for talking on my phone. this is 4x more than the cost of my nexus 5!!!
I can use earbuds, they work great... But strange thing is I can't plug into my aux in my car, I get a similar result as I do with Bluetooth. I'm starting to think this is a specific problem with the phone I have, not Ubuntu, or a problem with nexus 5 only... Does anyone else have issues with call quality while on Bluetooth in nexus 5?? -
RE: Minimalist UI
@3arn0wl I too have a black background. yeah I'm using the tweak but it leaves much of the appearance in tact. I want way more control. lets hope this changes.

RE: "The" Bluetooth Thread
I have been using Ubuntu touch now for a little more than a week as my main phone.
One issue I have been bothered by is the call quality on my end for Bluetooth connections. on my nexus 5 I am able to pair with several devices, such as our 2018 ford explorer, a set of cheap bluetooth headphones, a jabra ear piece and a high end bluetooth headphones set. In every case In, music and podcast sound great. Audio quality is great, volume fine, no strange compression sound that one can hear over Bluetooth running under some protocols. However in every case call quality is so poor its not worth using. The audio is digitized sounding almost as if the caller is using a transformers voice changer toy for Megatron.
Is this just my nexus 5? is it Ubuntu touch? any ideas??? -
Minimalist UI
I'm a Windows Phone user, I moved to Ubuntu beceuse I feel its the next best thing. And I'm confidant it will be great. however one thing I found about the WP 10 was very good was its built in customizations that no other system had or has now. For instance, I would setup the background to be black, remove every tile, and make all tiles transparent. I would only put the phone, messaging, and calculator on my home screen. The white / transparent tiles against the black background was not only cool looking it was high contrast. I wish there were ways we could remove all apps from the scope, and just launch what we wanted from the launcher, or just have a few favorites on the main screen. I guess what I'm saying is adding in more personalization tools that lend well to creativity, not just a set of templates that can be installed.

change the cursor
Re: Keyboard Changes
The selector handle should be on the bottom of the cursor. Maybe I have larger than normal thumbs and fingers but when I go to copy & past I have a hard time seeing through my thumb when holding the handle on the cursor. It would be better for the handle to be on the bottom of the cursor instead of the top. Is there a way to change this in settings??

RE: Nexus 5 replacement battery.
I'm thinking of doing this but I'm worried of fake batteries. Iv seen on XDA several people experiencing issues with fake batteries. I still might give it a go. There still should be a better way for the system to manage the battery. for example on my nokia lumia 640 XL out of the box had horrible batterylife. Without touching the phone the battery would drain from 100%— 0% in 12 hours. After several updates over about a year Microsoft fixed the issue and improved battery life to last for an expectablean amount of time. I Think it can be done in the operating system. Also people using the N5 with Android don't report. Battery issues like these, at least not as bad as I'm experiencing..

RE: Instalation Problem Nexus 5
try the original cable or a new high quality cable and also switch over to Ubuntu. I had many problems installing on my nexus 5 using windows 10, and 7. switch to Ubuntu and I was done in about 15 minutes.
