I have had the same experience with my Volla. Plus strange volume drops when I switch between the speakers and Bluetooth. And an almost inaudible alarm clock even though the volume was turned up. So I had to go back to stable.

@kugiigi your guess was right. i can remember it darkly now. Changing the value to zero was the solution.

since ota4 the waydroid window does not reach to the bottom on my volla phone. I suspect it has the wrong resolution after the update. Is there a way to change the resolution?

@kristatos I checked with top and it looks like systemd-timesyncd is not the reason in my case.
I could not find a reason in general, but maybe I did not identify it.
Anyway, I switched to the development channel and the higher power consumption is gone so far.

@kristatos sorry for my late reply. Before i saw your post i had already updated devl and i thought the problem was a little better. Anyway, today i switched to stable ota2 and the problem is back. None of your suggestions made any difference. Not even airplane mode.
Tomorrow I will test the development channel again and will report back.

thank you for your advice. Unfortunately it did not work.
Maybe because I forgot to mention something that came back to me. I think the problem came up after I made the folders available to Waydroid. Used this command:
sudo mount --bind ~/Documents ~/.local/share/waydroid/data/media/0/Documents
sudo mount --bind ~/Downloads ~/.local/share/waydroid/data/media/0/Download
And there are some files in the folders.

as the title says I can't save anything in the Downloads and Documents folder. File Manager tells me that I only have read and execute permissions. Also I can't open PDFs from the net. Document Viewer wants to save the PDF locally but can't because of missing permission.
It is a new clean installation on the Volla phone. Changing channels makes no difference.
Is it a known bug? I could not find anything.
If it is a new one can someone tell me where to report it?
And does anyone maybe have a solution there for?
