Thats a shame - wish this device would get official support. From going through couple different cellphone models, and now couple tablets, the x606F has been the smoothest, best performance of UT that i have experienced.

Not sure where to put this, but here are the steps that I took to get Ubuntu Touch on the 606f

Required Files

• Download the latest artifacts for the project HERE
• Download Android 9 Roms files that were previously mentioned HERE
• Lenovo LMSA Software HERE

Steps

• Using LMSA, i was able to downgrade to Android 9 by downloading the newest update for the 606f (Android 10) and replacing the files with the Android 9 Roms files within the directory and perform an "rescue" on the tablet. Once booted, Android 9 was installed.

• Once Android 9 was installed, the usual procedure took place. Enable Developer Mode, unlock the bootloader reboot into Fastboot and flash the required files within the Artifacts folder.

OEM Unlock command : fastboot flashing unlock

I coudlnt get the SP Flash program to work correctly both in Windows and Linux and was surprised about the downgrade with LMSA.

Pixel 3a XL

Ive noticed that when i launch the clock App, if i chose not to use location, it crashes and cant open it at all after that. Havent tried selecting location to see what happens

• Confirmed flash doesnt work
• Fingerprint functionality is nice, when it works (works more than not)
• App store is bare as of now
• No Waydroid
• Deezer Music Player!!

Excited to see where this goes. UT was working very stable over on 16.04 and couldnt wait to see what happens on 20.04.

Three things i need for daily driver usage

• DUO Mobile support (havent tried within Waydroid, also believe there is a terminal "workaround", but havent tried it yet)
• MMS Support (PLEASE!)
• Waydroid

Just to add to this, I went through the same process of trying multiple Pixel 3a XL phones before finding the correct one. Tried twice on Ebay and then eventually bought another one from Swappa. At least on Swappa, they categorize them as "unlocked". Received the phone and everything works.

Luckily was able to return both Ebay phones, just annoying to go through the process. Avoid Verizon branded Pixel's at all cost.

Correct - OpenStore loads, just not many apps due to being on Focal. Hard decision but staying on Focal for now since its the future, but just waiting on more apps to come through. Im patience though.

Can confirm that this is happening with my Pixel 3a as well. I dont use this as a daily driver and usually just have it on with WIFI enabled and location off. I have seen it reboot as well by itself. Biggest indicator of the reboot is that all apps are closed / location re-enabled.

Focal 20.04 - fresh install

Currently -

• DUO Authentication would be awesome
• Stock App (may adventure into this idea)
• 100% working US (Mint Mobile) MMS compatibility

If 1 and 3 would come true, i would instantly use UT as a daily driver

@lduboeuf - Going be testing this weekend since now I'm staying on Focal. Seeing if anything changes. Currently using USA Mint Mobile.

Just got myself a used Pixel 3a XL and excited to see what this year has in store. Loving following this project!

There is no mention about Lenovo M10 tablet being updated per the article but its being announced as updated to OTA-24 per the devices page? Just wanted to double check / clarify?

Would it be possible to have tablet specific images for WIFI only tablets? Doesnt make sense that when i installed UT on my Lenovo x605f, that Phone related apps were installed as well (Dialer, contacts, etc).
