RE: How to uninstall a Libertine package
I would like to delete the default libertine container. I tried via terminal, then "Libertine.py:125: ERROR: _delete_rootfs(): [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'dev'" appears. I tried this also via adb shell on pc - the same... Via swipe right in system settings (Libertine) and tap on red trash symbol nothing happens. No spinning wheel...
I'm on bq m10 hd xenial 16.04 stable.
Thanks!

RE: Libreoffice and Firefox.
I'm sorry about my "snarky posts". It was never my intention to give a bad impression about the work of developers and the OS in general! Sorry! I have great respect about the work for developers! And I like the OS very much!
As a beginner in UT it's sometimes a little bit frustrating to get success in all areas of the OS.
Best regards!

RE: Libreoffice and Firefox.
Yes, Abiword runs better than libreoffice. But there are also limitations, e.g. creating a bulleted list or a numeration list... Or the apply-button is not working with mouse... I mean, this are "basics" for serious office work... It's a little bit pity...

RE: Libreoffice and Firefox.
Would be great if libreoffice would run as it should...

Your experience in using UT on M10 as "office-workstation"
Hi,
well, now "libreoffice" runs on my m10 hd tablet, but I think, it's good for nothing... Toolbar is not to control with mouse... I can type words, that's all (saving documents isn't possible)... I remember, that is was a little better under 15.04 (old "canonical-version" of UT), but I don't know exactly.
Now I think generally about using UT on M10 as "office-workstation", and I hope for your experience in this questions:
- Is libreoffice useful and runs it fine? If yes, what are the best or the right "settings" to run fine?
- If libreoffice is obsolete, which are the alternatives? I know uWriter a little bit, but is it able to "replace" libreoffice (if it would work...)? Which apps are you using to do such office things?
- What is missing in UT to be a "complete office workstation" (if there is anything...)?
Thank you for sharing your experience!

RE: [SOLVED] How to install LibreOffice on M10?
Problem solved:
I deleted and installed default container again. I remember, that by installing it first, I interrupted installing process anyway, because I thought, it needs too much time... But after reboot device, container appears in list, so I thought, it's all right - but it wasn't, container wasn't installed right, but no notice appears...
Correct installing container needs about 10 - 15 minutes. You have to wait till spinning wheel disappears.
Thank you for help! It was my own mistake, but it is hard to detect it for a "normal" user...
In this case I'm happy now!
Edit: Libreoffice is not really usable, isn't it? Connect with keyboard and mouse it is e.g. not possible to save a document... Toolbar works not really... Or have I to do same special settings?

RE: [SOLVED] How to install LibreOffice on M10?
I am on stable. Checked the desktop scope app: There are no apps...

RE: [SOLVED] How to install LibreOffice on M10?
My container is named "Ubuntu 'Xenial Xerus'" - it is the default container, I chosed no special name or a password... And then I do the same as above: I got the blue spinning circle for a couple of mins - then: Nothing... "No packages are installed".

RE: [SOLVED] How to install LibreOffice on M10?
No success with different "typings" ....
Any other idea?

RE: [SOLVED] How to install LibreOffice on M10?
No success here. I typed "libreoffice" in "enter package name", then I wait some minutes, then it's all gone... It appears "No packages are installed".
With the docs-manual the same. Well, where can I get the correct package name? Searching in the "archive" is also not successful. Or have I to download something before installing process?
Thanks!

RE: Welcome to the UBports community! Introduce yourself here!
Hi everyone!
My name is Florian and I´m from the north-west of germany ("Ostfriesland")... I`m an interested user in all kind of open source, and I like free-thinking in general...
Two or three years before I owned a E5 and a M10FHD. Then I stopped using UT, but now I´m back on it... But now with a Nexus 5 and a M10HD. My old devices are no more mine...
I like UT very much, but I need some support from community...
Best regards!

RE: Any news about m10hd "cooler" wifi-problem?
No progress in this case...
I need little step-by-step help in this questions:
- Hardware issue or software bug?
- How can I get a solution?
Sorry, I'm not a technician but only an interested user. I know, this is not the best precondition for using UT, but I like it very much and I want to use it not only on my Nexus 5 but also on M10 HD... (with no wifi problem if possible...)
Thank you!

RE: Any news about m10hd "cooler" wifi-problem?
Seems to be a solution here:
https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1040#issuecomment-462430574
Can anybody explain me the two "easy steps", please? The two needed files are already on my ubuntu-pc. Need a little step - by - step help for the following to do (in terminal?)...

[SOLVED] How to install LibreOffice on M10?
Sorry for so much asking...

RE: Any news about m10hd "cooler" wifi-problem?
How can I detect, if there's any hardware broken? In principle I could send the device back to amaz... But make it sense to get a new one? This was already a new one...

RE: Any news about m10hd "cooler" wifi-problem?
I did first step (without any change) again: Flashed with flash-tool the old UT-image. It ist 15.04 OTA-13. And here's the same problem: Wifi lost after boot or reboot.

RE: Any news about m10hd "cooler" wifi-problem?
Should I install TWRP on android now? And then try to fix the nvram error with the steps from XXX.skyneel .com? And then install UT again? First old version with flash tool, then ota10 stable with installer?
Or even flash tool with wipe nvram (don't know, how I got it..., need some help)
This are two different ways? I think about the right (best) way...
Thank you and best regards!

RE: Any news about m10hd "cooler" wifi-problem?
Back to Android (8.1.0) there are no problems with wifi connection... (after boot or reboot)...
