RE: Update Message
@arubislander yes .I was thinking maybe that means the next update coming. Will see on the 6th.

RE: Poor battery life.
I have an important update to this.Funny how some
seemingly unrelated problem helps you solve another. Battery life is now much improved. See my solved post " no network in" 'General Category " for additional info. I guess when the cell signal is weak the device draws more from the battery.
One other thing to add ,I wish there was a useful RF signal meter on the android phones. One of the most lacking tools of such hi technology, as opposed to the tiny and useless bars on the top of the screen that indicate practically nothing. -
RE: Service dropped USA OPO OTA-17
@tuxy I am using pixel 3a with ATT prepaid . The pixel replaced my old lumia 535 windows phone.
I would have still been using that device had it not been for its lack of 4g support. Anyway the pixel is working well; for me with no issues. -
Update Message
Not the end of the world but was looking at the "about " menu in my phone. Shows "last updated" 3-6-22 While todays date is 3-4-22 . (Time and date are correct on phone.)

RE: No network (AT&T)
@desolom Hello ,Thanks for the info .I believe my problem is unrelated to yours. After waiting on hold for more than an hour with tech support the problem seems to have been fixed. My signal is now full and no more drop outs.
I hope what your say about the mid July cutoff is addressed in the forum.Like you I agree UT on my android phone is fantastic.I dont ever want to go back to google world . -
No network (AT&T)
I am having this show on my pixel 3a. It occurs off and on . Usually for short periods like a minute or so.
(I am at home not moving from place to place.) Trying to call ATT to see if they have any issues My previous phone always had no issues with network access. Anyone else having any trouble like this. Could it be a settings issue? -
unav
Tried this app .Seems to work but cannot see it very well . Maps are severely washed out. (Pixel3a)
Anyone have any experiences with it. -
RE: Poor battery life.
@dizzy Yes .From what I understand this problem is unique to the 3a and UT. With the stock firmware the problem does not occur. Hope one of the smart guys figure this out.

RE: Poor battery life.
@flohack Did some more testing and it does look like wifi is the issue.Had it turned off overnight and drain is greatly reduced.Hoping a fix can be found for this problem. Dont know if this problem is unique to the 3a .

Microphone access in morph browser
.I have seen a video stating latest update supports this feature.Has anyone tried it or know how to use it.

RE: Poor battery life.
@flohack Correction on my last message. I miss spoke .With airplane mode active wifi is also turned off .I did not know that. So my battery runtime tests are with no data and no wifi.
Going to test again this time with only wifi turned off. Sorry for the confusion. -
RE: Poor battery life.
@flohack Ok I have more info to report back.My pixel lost 10% charge in just under 2 hours. Wifi and network on. I tried your suggestion and turned on airplane mode and left wifi on. Running now 5 + hours with NO drop on battery level. So its definitely related to network being active. Hope this can shed some light on the issue .Of course cannot make calls.

RE: Poor battery life.
@flohack I do believe wifi is part of the drain but not all. I am going to try some of your suggestions to see if I can get provide more info. I may also try to disable some of the apps tweaker etc. Maybe the GPS location weather app also.
I will do more testing and report back.Thank you for responding. -
RE: Poor battery life.
@mrt10001 I have heard that the smart guys who due all the code crunching are aware of this .
I hope that they will figure this out. -
RE: Poor battery life.
I have some more info too add here .Hope this can shed some light on the issue.
I have noticed that with the sim card removed (no network) battery life is much improved (as one would expect.) It did make me curious to take a closer look at the settings there. I noticed NFC enabled by default. I disabled this as I do not want or need to use this feature. This has helped a bit with battery performance. -
RE: Poor battery life.
@mrt10001 Yes ,changing the 3a battery was no picnic. The you tube video says job takes about 30 minutes. In actuality it was 90 minutes for me.Only get about a day out of it so its disappointing after all the work.
