Marathon, I softbricked my Ubuntu M10 over the weekend trying to port over to ubPorts and was able to get it back by reimaging it using spflash tool and the latest Cannonical image. (all mentioned above) And then I was able to port over to ubPorts using magic device tool. I started with my M10 in fastboot mode but I'm not sure it mattered to spflash as it changed states to the boot menu during the process and it was suggesting I reboot. I did not but, after a lonnnngggg wait, it finished. Connected to a Net book running Mint. (I don't know if this helps at all.)

RE: Re: M10 Reload
@Marathon2422 I did not but what you describe is similar to what I was dealing with on my one and only reimage right after I got my M10.

RE: Re: M10 Reload
Thank You. I'll chose the Wipe option though as all of my data is on the removable memory card. Last time I was thinking of reloading was due to my system showing memory issues (Less free space than I should have.) and it was suggested to me that I needed to clean up some partitions. Just trying to prevent owning a brick.

M10 Reload
Happy New Year
I plan on reloading my Aquaris M10 (Ubuntu) soon and I want to clear off all of the partitions in the process. I know there are some partitions that will Brick the device if removed but do not know which ones to leave alone. Can someone please tell me which ones I need to avoid in order to not Brick my machine?
Cheers

RE: BQ M10 FHD bricked upon UBport install?
Marathon2422, I find Twrp for an Aquaris M10 FHD (FreezerFHD) but not for an Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition (Meizu). Am I missing something or should the FHD version work here as well? -Thanks in advance. Dave

Thank you. I'll try after some research. (I'm old and a noob.)

RE: BQ M10 FHD bricked upon UBport install?
@marathon2422 Ubuntu uses 8.4 GB on my M10. I have noticed a long boot time on it compared to the Cannonical load. Also, in case I was not clear, this is an M10 Ubuntu Edition vice Android.

RE: BQ M10 FHD bricked upon UBport install?
FreeJohn,
No, I was able to get to the screen with the Fastboot option using the volume up/power button option. it was there that I had difficulty. When I booted with just the power button, I got a screen similar to your first picture with 'ubuntu' on it.
