RE: Oneplus 6 stuck on 'unlocked bootloader' warning upon restart
@totalsonic Do you boot into the fastboot mode and then select normal boot? Because I am pretty sure I get stuck in that boot option too (same problem with the warning, not the fastboot or anything).

@lakotaubp The problem is that even though it should boot into UT automatically after the warning, it doesn't.
It just stays on that warning screen indefinitely.

Oneplus 6 stuck on 'unlocked bootloader' warning upon restart
So I tried to reboot my device after finally succesfully installing Ubuntu Touch.
Then I wanted to try reboot it to see if it would now boot to UT automatically. To my horror it got stuck on the warning screen however.
Is this a known bug? Do I have to undertake different steps to prevent this from happening? I reflashed the UT because it was less work and now I know that is an option. What to do in the future?

RE: Stuck in 'Cleaning up..' or does that just take a long while?
@Lakotaubp Running it again with the wipe option selected magically made the install go flawless. I am now running Ubuntu Touch on my One Plus 6
Thank you so much for your help and also to @MrT10001

RE: Stuck in 'Cleaning up..' or does that just take a long while?
@lakotaubp I will go on to try with the wipe option selected.
The error I get is this: Error: adb:preparesystemimage: Error: {"error":{"code":1,"cmd":"C:\Users\WK\AppData\Local\Temp\1raG3Aut6N5DTMPVp2eiGFFUdbP\resources\app.asar.unpacked\node_modules\android-tools-bin\dist\win32\x86\adb.exe -P 5037 shell mkdir -p /cache/recovery"},"stderr":"mkdir: '/cache/recovery': Required key not available"}
If I choose "Ignore" the installer will say succes, however the phone will reboot back into recovery.
This is a brand new (although second hand) phone with no prior use for other OS (besides the native Oxygen OS from Oneplus itself) -
RE: Does bootloader have to be unlocked to install UT?
@lakotaubp I did what you said and have all the specified requirements. I got past the initial problem, but now I seem to be stuck at the Preparing system image section.

RE: Stuck in 'Cleaning up..' or does that just take a long while?
@MrT10001 Unlocking the bootloader got me further however now I get stuck at "Preparing system image..."
Have you installed compatible TWRP and ensured all the partitions are formatted to EXT4?
Is this also required? TWRP means rooting the device right? I dont recall that being specified anywhere?

RE: Does bootloader have to be unlocked to install UT?
@opaijavai @Keneda I now see I wasted a day waiting for my phone to magically do something. Thank you for confirming it.
Would you or anyone else happen to have a good resource on doing that for me?
