Hello x306 users,

Hello x306 users,
Have you tried configuring hotspot in 5ghz band using command line?
Hello x306 users,
Are you also facing the Restart bug?
My tab gets shut down instead of restarting.
In the pipeline #1810098483, display doesn't turn off after preselected time( lock when idle, battery saving feature) and remains turned on until power button is used to turn off.
In addition, when the screen is turned off, it turns on if the device is transferred from hand to a flat surface or if the finger touches at the right top portion of screen beside front camera. This happens even if 'double tap to wake' is disabled.
@MrT10001
Yeah, it supports. But, my reason for being static is not to be statically addressed per se. Instead, to save from possible intrusion.
However, even if the device is made to be used in transient networks, the static ip assignment option is made essid-wise and not interface-wise.
Hello,
For security reason, my wifi network does not assign ip using dhcp. Need to assign statically to the wlan interface.
But, in ubuntu touch there is no direct option provided under wifi setup. Although, I managed to setup using nmtui/nmcli. why is this option made feature deficient?
@Ian said in Default sudo password?:
@kugiigi If that has happened would the easiest way out be to reinstall with the option to wipe user data unticked? Then start up and set password/passphrase?
Can you shed some light on this process?
Is this using recovery or fastboot or spflashtool?
@kugiigi said in Default sudo password?:
@drbsin Did you try to change the password via a command? Because that would break it since the system does something different and expects it to be changed via the settings app.
No, my bad. I was trying to get root shell using su. Sudo is working with current passphrase. Actually, I should ask if I can get a graphical root login (instead of phablet) in ubuntu touch like modifying the greeter in ubuntu desktop.
@Ian I'm using lenovo x306x tablet with latest devel flashable for lte. tried again by changing the passphrase but getting authentication failure error.
@Ian passphrase or lockscreen pin not working!
What's is default Sudo password for x306x?
